I received a DVD of Chuggington videos in order to facilitate my review. All thoughts and words are my own.

Bubbles has taken a real shine to motorized vehicles that talk.  Of course, my husband is thrilled, because this means lots of play time with trains, planes, cars, and all other manner of things that go.  Where trains are concerned, she especially likes Chuggington.

We’ve watched a few Chuggington videos, mostly on TV at night as we’re trying to settle down for bed.  So I of course had to say yes when we were offered a review copy of the new Chuggington DVD Brewster Leads the Way.  It’s definitely received a lot of play time as Bubbles has worked to learn the names of all her train buddies.

Chuggington Videos: Brewster Leads the Way DVD

The Chuggington series focuses on three main trains: Wilson, and his friends Brewster and Koko.  They participate in challenges that test courage, speed, and determination.  They’re supported by a number of other trains, and people too, that help them learn the skills they need to be the best trains possible. There are so many awesome kids DVDs releasing very soon – some as early as next week!  Check out all the titles below, and catch some great clips, too.  There are also some free printable activities from Disney!

The Pirate Fairy

Great Kids DVDs: Disney's The Pirate Fairy

One of my family’s most anticipated DVD releases of the year – Disney’s The Pirate Fairy – features Zarina, a smart and ambitious dust-keeper whose wild ideas get her into trouble.  The award-winning Natasha Bedingfield is providing the singing voice for Zariana, whose songs showcase her offbeat personality.  Check out a clip of her “Who I Am” song below. It’s no secret that we love the Disney Frozen movie.  I shared my Disney Frozen review with you after we took Bubbles to see it in theaters back in November.  And recently we even had a Mother/Daughter Disney Frozen day of fun.

Disney Frozen's Elsa Sings "Let It Go"

One of the things I loved most about the movie was the music.  The “Let It Go” song is not only one of my favorite songs from Frozen, but is one of my favorite Disney movie songs, period.  Bubbles has been singing this song literally since we returned to our car after the movie. Continue reading »

I received a copy of the Tickety Toc DVD in order to facilitate my review. All words and thoughts are my own.

We love watching Tickety Toc on Nick Jr.  It’s such an unique, fun show, one that we enjoy watching right along with Bubbles.  She especially loves to watch while playing with her Tickety Toc toys.  So when we were offered the opportunity to check out the newest Tickety Toc DVD, The Unstoppable, Unpoppable Bubble, it was a no-brainer.

Tickety Toc DVD The Unstoppable, Unpoppable Bubble

In Bubble Time brother and sister duo Tommy and Tallulah test out McCoggins’ new bubble formula.  The formula creates an unpoppable bubble that soon encompasses the whole town.  It’s up to Hopperoo to figure the problem out in order to get everyone released for chime time. Continue reading »

Over the weekend I had the opportunity to attend a virtual hangout with Katherine Heigl and Will Arnett, the voices behind two characters in the upcoming movie The Nut Job.  Just another Saturday afternoon, right?  They popped in after the L.A. premiere to talk with us about the film, being parents, and more.

The Nut Job's Andie (Katherine Heigl) and Surly (Will Arnett) #TheNutJob

In animated 3D, The Nut Job is set in fictional Oakton and follows Surly (voiced by Will Arnett), a mischievous purple squirrel.  After a hot dog stand heist by Grayson (voiced by Brendan Fraser) and Andie (voiced by Katherine Heigl) goes wrong, Surly is banished from the park by Raccoon (voiced by Liam Neeson).  With the help of his rat friend Buddy (voiced by Robert Tinkler), Surly plans a nut store heist of epic proportions.
