We recently received a copy of Doc McStuffins Toy Hospital on DVD from our friends at Disney. Doc has graduated from her backyard toy clinic to becoming the Chief Resident of a new, state-of-the-art toy hospital!
There’s another addition to Doc’s life – and that’s a new baby sister! To celebrate the two hours of fun on the Doc McStuffins Toy Hospital DVD I decided to make Lambie’s No Churn Pink Party Ice Cream.

Our plans for Valentine’s Day are starting to take shape. We’ve decided to go out to lunch for a family “date” in the afternoon, and then that night we may do the indoor picnic about which she’s been asking. Then probably finish up with one of the family-friendly movies for Valentine’s Day that I shared a bit ago.
In the morning, of course, we’ll have breakfast. Maybe some heart-shaped toast with peanut butter to go with her yogurt (her breakfast repertoire isn’t very deep). After that we like to spend a little time snuggling and watching one of her shows together. Continue reading »
Just thinking about Jake & The Neverland Pirates the fun theme song pops into my mind. Sometimes a song getting in your head like that isn’t a great thing, but when it’s Jake it’s awesome. It puts a little bounce in your step and a smile on your face.
Jake and his friends are characters we really enjoy. In fact the LeapFrog LeapTV Disney Jake and The Never Land Pirates game has become Bubbles very favorite to play on our LeapTV. And, of course, we watch on Disney Junior. Continue reading »
PBS KIDS has recently announced a few new DVDs as well as new episodes and all new shows. There are also new apps available, new ways to stream your favorite PBS KIDS shows, and an extra 30 minutes of Sesame Street!
Daniel Tries Something New released on July 15th. It has a 100 minute run-time with eight episodes, one of which is “Daniel Goes to School” that Bubbles loves. There are also some printable activities and coloring sheets included, too. Continue reading »
Recently we received a copy of the new My Little Pony Friendship is Magic: A Dash of Awesome DVD. Bubbles discovered the show on TV not too long ago and really seemed to enjoy it, so it was good timing for us to share our thoughts with you on it.
My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic: A Dash of Awesome is a compilation of episodes all about Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash is actually one of the ponies I remember from when I was growing up, and I always enjoyed her spunk and enthusiasm, so this was a fun DVD for us to watch. We were pleasantly surprised at how much content there was, too, as the DVD was a full 120 minutes.
My favorite episode on the DVD was “May The Best Pet Win!” Rainbow Dash is trying to choose the best pet for her and there are a lot that would like the job. She tends to think that her pet needs to be special, fast, and better than anyone else. So she sets up a competition to pick the winner, but learns a little something about what makes a good companion along the way. Continue reading »
