There are so many awesome kids DVDs releasing very soon – some as early as next week! Check out all the titles below, and catch some great clips, too. There are also some free printable activities from Disney!
The Pirate Fairy
One of my family’s most anticipated DVD releases of the year – Disney’s The Pirate Fairy – features Zarina, a smart and ambitious dust-keeper whose wild ideas get her into trouble. The award-winning Natasha Bedingfield is providing the singing voice for Zariana, whose songs showcase her offbeat personality. Check out a clip of her “Who I Am” song below.
Carlos Ponce also is in The Pirate Fairy, taking on the role of Bonito. Serving as rigger alongside James and Zarina in the film, the huge Spaniard can throw a harpoon a hundred yards. But Bonito is quite passionate about sewing, not only the ship’s sails, but also applying dainty double-stitched seams to his fairy captain’s tiny outfits. The Pirate Fairy sets sail to homes everywhere on it’s April 1st Blu-ray release.
The Jungle Book Diamond Edition
My Little Pony: A Dash of Awesome
The My Little Pony: A Dash of Awesome! DVD will fly into homes on March 25th. Join everypony’s favorite high-flying Pegasus, Rainbow Dash, for five adventures alongside her very best friends in all of Equestria: the studious Twilight Sparkle, quiet animal lover Fluttershy, the party enthusiast Pinkie Pie, the always loyal apple farmer Applejack, and Ponyville’s very own fashionista Rarity. The DVD also includes a bonus sing-along.
Peep And The Big Wide World: Diva Duck
The PEEP and the Big Wide World: Diva Duck DVD will be available from PBS KIDS on February 25th. Narrated by Joan Cusack, the PEEP and the Big Wide World series teaches science in a fun way to preschoolers. This newest DVD, Diva Duck, features 8 episodes where Quack the duck takes center stage.
Wild Kratts: Bugging Out
PBS KIDS has a new DVD available from one of their popular series. Wild Kratts: Bugging Out will release on February 25th. With a run time of 55 minutes, the DVD will include two episodes, “Secrets of the Spider’s Web” and “Attack of the Tree Eating Alien”. The Wild Kratts series aims to teach age-appropriate science to kids, and though targeted at ages 6-8, Bubbles loves the series so it would likely appeal to much younger children, too.
The Little Rascals Save the Day
Do you remember the Little Rascals? Their newest adventure, The Little Rascals Save the Day, will be releasing on April 1st! In the spirit of the Our Gang comedies, The Little Rascals Save the Day finds the most entertaining bunch of third graders in town hatching a series of madcap schemes to earn enough money to keep Grandma’s (Doris Roberts of “Everybody Loves Raymond”) bakery out of businessman Big Ray’s hands. From caddying to pet care to taxi service, each of their plans goes awry until they are left with just two options: find a way to win the local talent show or wave goodbye to the best cupcakes a kid ever tasted!
Funness!!! My Little Pony was my favorite growing up – definitely a must have! And The Little Rascals is a classic – very fond memories watching with my grandparents! Thanks so much for sharing!
We are looking forward to the Pirate Fairy, I was hoping it would have big screen release; but even better to have it available at home sooner.
I had hoped to see it on the big screen, too, Mel But I agree – being able to own it that much sooner is good, too!
My daughter is a HUGE fan of My Little Pony, but I’m guessing she would love all of these!
