There have been lots of internet whisperings since Toy Story 3 left us all sobbing into our popcorn as we watched Buzz, Woody, and all their friends hold hands and brace for the end.  “Will there be a Toy Story 4?”  “If there is a Toy Story 4, will it follow the familiar friends, or spin off to new toys?”

It's official! Toy Story 4 is happening. The release date will be June 16, 2017

So by now you’ve probably already heard that the highly-anticipated lineup of movies dubbed Marvel Phase 3 has been anounced.  Apologies for not sharing this news sooner, it’s just been a little hectic lately!

Marvel Phase 3 Announcement: Marvel's Avengers Infinity War Part 1 and Part 2

I first found out about the announcement while we were driving home from the restaurant a couple of weeks ago.  I am fairly certainly that the people driving next to us probably thought I was having a medical event, because I was bouncing around and gesturing wildly as I read the news on my phone (don’t worry, hubby was driving).  I kept scrolling and scrolling – the lineup is massive – and punctuated what I was reading with an “Oh my gosh!” and “You’re not going to believe who is in this?!”. You’ve heard me mention Disney Big Hero 6 a few times around here.  As huge Disney fans, we’re really excited to see how the Marvel comics of the same name come to life on the big screen.  So excited, that we’re headed to the theaters tonight to check it out!

DIY Big Hero 6 Baymax Bookmark

Bubbles has watched the commercials and the trailers, and she’s already a fan of Baymax.  There’s really only so much you can pick up from a short clip, though, and I wanted her to have a better idea of the story.  So I stopped by Walmart to see if they had any of the Big Hero 6 books in stock yet. The other day I shared with you my Disney Sleeping Beauty Diamond Edition review.  But, as they always say, there are two sides to every story.  Until recently, we only knew that Aurora was good and Maleficent was evil.  The live-action tale of Disney’s Maleficent, available tomorrow on Blu-ray and DVD, may give you a different outlook on the classic tale.

Maleficent Review - Angelina Jolie as Maleficent

Whether or not you’re specifically a Disney Villain fan, you will love this movie.  You will also have Lana Del Rey’s “Once Upon a Dream” stuck in your head for approximately the rest of your life.  And that’s not a bad thing at all. Continue reading »

As much as I love all the new Disney movies, there will always be a special place in my heart for the classics.  So I was really happy when they released the Sleeping Beauty Diamond Edition Blu-ray/DVD combo a few weeks ago.  Sleeping Beauty is only the 10th film released as part of the prestigious Blu-ray Diamond Edition collection.

Sleeping Beauty Diamond Edition Blu-ray + DVD: Sleeping Beauty and Prince Phillip

Bubbles knew of Sleeping Beauty from some of her books but had never watched the movie.  I was offered a review copy so when it arrived, we sat down that night to get her caught up on the story of Aurora, Maleficent, Prince Phillip and the sweet fairies Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather.  Bubbles was familiar with them more than any of the characters, as they are also characters in the Sofia the First TV show.
