Beauty & the Beast is one of my all-time favorite Disney movies.  I actually did my high school French class project on it, translating the song “Tale as Old as Time” into French.  I still can’t hear the song without “belle et la bête” running through my head.

Whip up a batch of The Grey Stuff Brownie Bites to celebrate the release of Beauty & the Beast 25th Anniversary Edition

The live action version of Beauty & the Beast will be in theaters soon, and I can’t wait.  But classics will always have a special place in my heart so I’m very happy that the 25th Anniversary Edition of Beauty & the Beast is available on Blu-ray/DVD/Digital combo pack today! Continue reading »

This shop and my Angry Birds party ideas have been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser, Walmart Family Mobile. Opinions are mine, but the angry fun can be yours! #AngryForSavings #CollectiveBias

We’re kind of big fans of Angry Birds around here.  When she was around three, Bubbles was sitting with Daddy while he was playing Angry Birds on his phone.  She reached down and after a few minutes was successfully passing levels like a pro.

How to Host the Ultimate Angry Birds Party for the Whole Family!

Because Bubbles starts school next week we’ve been trying to pack as much extra fun into the last week or two of summer.  I had wanted to take her to see the Angry Birds movie in theaters but we didn’t get the chance.  So I decided we’d do an at-home Angry Birds movie party instead! I’ve been excited to see Jurassic World since I first heard it was being made.  I still remember watching the first Jurassic Park movie when it came out and being entirely in awe when those first dinosaurs came into view as they rolled up in the little Jeeps.

Of course after my Chris Pratt interview awhile back, I was looking forward to seeing him in another role.  I had really wanted to see it in theaters but I was afraid that even though she wanted to see it, it may be too overwhelming and scary for Bubbles.  And with Ashley in Indy teaching and Austin away doing his Army training, our babysitting options are a bit limited at the moment. For those that read Views From the ‘Ville regularly, you know how much I love a theme.  All of the Avengers lend themselves well to a special night of fun so I thought it would be fun to share some inexpensive ideas to have an Iron Man 3 Family Fun Night.  If your family isn’t already chomping at the bit to hit the theater this weekend, these should help get your family pumped up. Yesterday we saw a commercial for Men In Black 3 on television.  It was fun to be able to say “Hey, I already saw that!” – and to not even be talking about leaving the house!  You may remember me sharing with you that Men In Black 3 will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray on November 30th but by pre-ordering our copy from Walmart and then registering it online, we received an advanced digital copy to watch on November 16th.  You can view my Google+ album to see the easy process.

Advanced viewing of MIB3 on Vudu #SeeMIB3

We’ve watched the movie twice already.  The first time, my husband and I watched it together to decide which family members it was appropriate for.  I’m glad we took the time to do so; the first few minutes of the film were a little too high on the “ick” factor to let Bubbles watch from the start.  But after a couple of initial scenes, it was mostly humor and learning about Agent K’s back-story.
