It’s always exciting when My Little Pony DVDs arrive at our house from our friends at Shout! Factory.  I try to make each new release special by making a yummy treat or fun craft that matches the theme.  So when I saw Pinkie Pie holding a bowl of popcorn on the back of the MLP Equestria Girls: Magical Movie Night DVD, the idea for Pinkie Pie’s Party Popcorn immediately came to mind.

Pinkie Pie's Party Popcorn is perfect for a My Little Pony Equestria Girls Magical Movie Night!

Bubbles is very excited that her new cousin loves My Little Pony, too.  We plan to invite her down soon for a Magical Movie Night of our own.  We’ll definitely be serving up more of Pinkie Pie’s Party Popcorn – our first batch disappeared, well, like magic! Continue reading »

Summer is winding down but you’d never be able to tell by looking at the temperature.  It’s been consistently in the 80s and 90s every day, with no end in sight.

Even with the heat we’re still enjoying the last few summer days through visits to the park, splash pad, and at least one cookout per week.  One thing I’ve been serving is my Pizza Pasta Salad. Continue reading »

This shop and my Angry Birds party ideas have been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser, Walmart Family Mobile. Opinions are mine, but the angry fun can be yours! #AngryForSavings #CollectiveBias

We’re kind of big fans of Angry Birds around here.  When she was around three, Bubbles was sitting with Daddy while he was playing Angry Birds on his phone.  She reached down and after a few minutes was successfully passing levels like a pro.

How to Host the Ultimate Angry Birds Party for the Whole Family!

Because Bubbles starts school next week we’ve been trying to pack as much extra fun into the last week or two of summer.  I had wanted to take her to see the Angry Birds movie in theaters but we didn’t get the chance.  So I decided we’d do an at-home Angry Birds movie party instead! This shop and my ideas for a backyard safari have been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions and tiger sightings are mine alone. #FuelTheirAdventures #CollectiveBias

Bubbles has a lot of different interests, but one that hasn’t waned since she was even just a few months old is her interest in animals.  She’s curious about their habitats, what they eat, what they liked to do, and more.  So we read a lot of animal-themed books and then I try and come up with projects or activities to tie in to reinforce the learning (and fun).

Easy DIY Safari-Themed Lunch Bags for your backyard safari adventure!

One idea I came up with recently would be for us to have a backyard safari.  We don’t exactly have a savanna or jungle behind our house but I thought we could do a few fun things.  Here are some suggestions for your own backyard safari. Continue reading »
