This shop and my Angry Birds party ideas have been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser, Walmart Family Mobile. Opinions are mine, but the angry fun can be yours! #AngryForSavings #CollectiveBias

We’re kind of big fans of Angry Birds around here.  When she was around three, Bubbles was sitting with Daddy while he was playing Angry Birds on his phone.  She reached down and after a few minutes was successfully passing levels like a pro.

How to Host the Ultimate Angry Birds Party for the Whole Family!

Because Bubbles starts school next week we’ve been trying to pack as much extra fun into the last week or two of summer.  I had wanted to take her to see the Angry Birds movie in theaters but we didn’t get the chance.  So I decided we’d do an at-home Angry Birds movie party instead! This shop and my date night homemade General Tso Chicken recipe have been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser, Walmart Family Mobile. All opinions are mine alone. #DataAndAMovie #CollectiveBias

With Ashley living in Indianapolis and Austin having been away for his Army training our babysitting pool has been fairly tiny the last few months. Which means that date night is mostly celebrated at home after Bubbles has gone to bed.

Homemade General Tso Chicken recipe

I’ve been making homemade Sweet & Sour Chicken pretty regularly at my husband’s request.  So for our most recent date night I decided to go a similar route and make homemade General Tso’s Chicken.  This recipe comes together so fast and so easily that you’ll be making it for all your date nights. This shop and my DIY bird feeder ideas has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser, Walmart Family Mobile. All opinions are mine alone. #MyDataMyWay #CollectiveBias

I like to think of myself as an organized person, and I love actually organizing things. But sometimes between work, motherhood and being a wife, my brain can get a little scattered. An idea will hit me and I’ll say “oh, I have to remember to look that up” – and then five minutes later, it’s left my mind for the next six months.

2 Easy DIY Bird Feeders Kids Can Make

Fortunately with a smartphone I lose less ideas than I did previously. I can jot myself a note, send a text to my husband with that hubby-do list request, or even look up the name to that song I can’t quite remember and stop driving myself nuts. But even more importantly, when inspiration hits, I can do something about it. Continue reading »

Last weekend was a time that our family had been highly anticipating for a long time.  We got up early Saturday morning, packed up the car, and drove the roughly two hour drive to Bowling Green for Ashley’s college graduation.

Unlimited Talk Text and Data Helped Me Keep the Family Updated #FamilyMobile #shop

By the time we met up with everyone else and seated ourselves, we made up quite the cheering section.  Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and friends.  We totaled roughly a dozen, and that wasn’t counting Austin who had unfortunately been scheduled to work that day and couldn’t find anyone to trade shifts. By now you likely know that for the last year or so my family has been using Walmart Family Mobile cell service.  We originally decided to try it out because of the low cost (which is now just $39.88 per month) for the unlimited talk, text and web.  With as much as we call and text back home, and with as much as I need to be connected on the go because of blogging, it just made financial sense.

Walmart #FamilyMobile Unlimited Talk Text and Web for $39.88 #shop

Last fall I shared that before we left to visit my family in Maine, we added a line to our plan and surprised my Mom with a phone.  She already called often to talk to Bubbles, and she’s even learned to text since then.  The data plan isn’t something she really uses, and if you find yourself in the same boat there is now also the option to get unlimited talk and text – without the data – for only $29.88 per month.  I love when companies give customers exactly what they want.
