When I started blogging full time, I realized that I was going to need to schedule my day a little differently, even though I had been working from home for a few years. I started getting up early in the morning before everyone else to get some quiet writing done and check a few other tasks off my to-do list. As I no longer had conference calls to worry about, that left my afternoons and evenings a little more flexible for family time.
Part of my morning routine has always been some form of V8. While I am a coffee drinker I don’t like to run the machine until everyone (including Bubbles, who sleeps in) has gotten up. I’m so, so excited for the Disney movies 2015 slate that was recently shared with me. It is going to be an absolute powerhouse year with a new Avengers film, a new introduction into the Star Wars franchise, and some other great titles – both live-action and animated.

Bubbles has been “in the process” of potty training for awhile now. We’ve had a lot of success in certain areas; she’s been nighttime potty trained for probably a year and always goes potty first thing in the morning. It’s the rest of the day where we have had a few challenges.
The main challenge being that Bubbles doesn’t like to miss out on anything. If we leave the room to go potty, we might miss the family of rabbits in the backyard or her favorite song might come on. Or worse still in her mind, she’d have to miss a few minutes of playtime. None of that is worth taking two minutes for a potty break. Continue reading »
I don’t think I could workout without music. While I can sometimes enjoy a little quiet, I get a little distracted when it’s quiet for too long. My mind wanders, I start thinking of all the other things I should be doing, and then my body follows my mind and I’m off to the next thing.
