While I absolutely love all the new Disney movies and characters, the Winnie the Pooh movies will always had a fond place in my heart.  There’s just something about that lovable bear, unlucky Eeyore, cute little Roo, and all the other friends in the Hundred Acre Wood.  I even still have the plush Easter Eeyore with the butterfly wings that my Gram bought me over a decade ago.

So when Disney recently offered to send us a copy of Winnie the Pooh Springtime with Roo – on Blu-ray for the very first time – I was excited to have the chance to share it with Bubbles.  She’s a big Eeyore fan and was happy to sit and watch it with me.  The Blu-ray packaging also comes with a free Springtime with Roo mobile that you can put together, and she was excited to work on that with me. The Muppets have always cracked me up.  I remember watching them with my Dad as a little kid, and the 3D show at Hollywood studios has always been one of my favorites.  Of course, Miss Piggy and Kermit are icons, but I also love Beaker, Animal, Sam the Eagle, and the Swedish Chef.

Ricky Gervais, Miss Piggy, and Kermit the Frog on the Muppets Most Wanted Soundtrack #MuppetsMostWanted

A bit ago I was invited to attend a screening for the new Disney Muppets Most Wanted.  Unfortunately, we weren’t able to attend but I’m definitely looking forward to seeing it once we have a chance to get to the theaters.  With hilarious stars like Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell and Tina Fey, you really can’t miss. Marvel’s Captain American: The Winter Soldier is in theaters!  I’m looking forward to my husband and I being able to catch it the next time Ashley is home and takes Bubbles out for a play date.  Marvel movies have long been some of my favorites, and I have heard nothing but amazing things about The Winter Soldier.

Captain America and the Black Widow #CaptainAmerica The Winter Soldier

While I really do love all the Marvel characters, Captain America has always been one of my favorites.  He’s devoted to his country, does the right thing, and values those who feel the same.  Plus, let’s be honest, Chris Evans is easy on the eyes.  And Black Widow gets some screen time in this one, which I also like. While I generally cheer for the good guy, I have to say I love a good villain (which may explain why I consider myself one of Loki’s Ladies).  And now Maleficent, Princess Aurora’s nemesis in Disney’s Sleeping Beauty, is getting her own movie, and I’m thoroughly intrigued.

Angelina Jolie as Iconic Disney Villain Maleficent #Maleficent

Updates for Maleficent have come slowly, but each time one is shared, it’s absolutely amazing.  Like the recent release of the new movie poster which shows off the classic Disney villain Maleficent (played by Angelina Jolie) and her awe-inspiring wings. There are also two new trailers available; you can check both of them out below. Continue reading »

My love for Disney is certainly no surprise to those of you whom have been reading this blog for any length of time. I’ve loved all things Disney since I was just little, and laying eyes on Cinderella Castle for the first time simply cemented the connection for me.  The magic of Disney, the attention to detail, none of it was lost on me.

When Disney first released their collection of Vinylmations, I wasn’t quite sure what to make of them.  The small collectibles – their names derive from a combination of the words animation and vinyl – come in a variety of sizes.  They’re all shaped like Mickey Mouse but have different colors and markings to represent everything related to Disney.

Blank and Bow in Disney's "Blank: A Vinylmation Love Story" #BlankandBow

I don’t yet have much of a collection, but I do have a few special ones.  One of the Bakery series, one with the year on it, a few of the characters I really love.  I’m also looking forward to adding one that Bubbles gets to choose when we take our first Disney World trip. Continue reading »
