Have you seen Guardians of the Galaxy yet?  Us either!  I’m a little embarrassed (jealous?) that even my parents have seen it.  We’re just waiting for a good time for Bubbles to visit Papaw and Grammy so that hubby, Austin and I can go and see it.

I have heard amazing things about it, though.  My Facebook feed has been full of great reviews and positive comments, and a number of people have even mentioned going two or three times already to see it.  The buzz couldn’t be better!

Disney Planes Fire and Rescue flew into theaters yesterday.  We had been promising Bubbles for weeks that we would go to see it the day it opened.  There was a 2:30 p.m. non-3D matinee, and so we packed up some snacks and headed to the theater.

Disney Planes Fire and Rescue Review: Dusty, Blade Ranger, Dipper, and Windlifter

The very moment the movie started, Bubbles exclaimed “That’s the song from the first Planes movie!”.  She was right; the instrumental intro was music shared from Disney Planes.  I liked how they tied them together right from the start. Continue reading »

You may have heard that there’s this little movie playing in theaters.  The one that dominated the box office last weekend.  The one with Angelina Jolie.

Angelina Jolie is Maleficent #Maleficent

The movie is Maleficent and I have heard nothing but amazing things about the film.  We have Austin & Ashley’s graduation party tomorrow, and Austin’s graduation itself on Sunday, but next week?  Next week will be a Maleficent movie date for hubby and I. Continue reading »

Marvel’s Captain American: The Winter Soldier is in theaters!  I’m looking forward to my husband and I being able to catch it the next time Ashley is home and takes Bubbles out for a play date.  Marvel movies have long been some of my favorites, and I have heard nothing but amazing things about The Winter Soldier.

Captain America and the Black Widow #CaptainAmerica The Winter Soldier

While I really do love all the Marvel characters, Captain America has always been one of my favorites.  He’s devoted to his country, does the right thing, and values those who feel the same.  Plus, let’s be honest, Chris Evans is easy on the eyes.  And Black Widow gets some screen time in this one, which I also like. We received a copy of Henry Hugglemonster: Meet The Hugglemonsters in order to facilitate our review.  All thoughts and words are my own.

One of the newest additions to the Disney Junior line up is Henry Hugglemonster and his family.  If you’re not familiar with the TV show, no worries!  Today Henry Hugglemoster: Meet the Hugglemonsters is available on DVD so you can pick up a copy and watch seven double episodes all at once.

I knew Bubbles (and I) would like this show from the first time I saw an announcement commercial for it.  The theme song is one of those really catchy songs that gets in your head and keeps you humming.  The cheery “Hey, hey, hey it’s a Henry Hugglemonster kind of day” will stay with you long after the show has ended.
