Happy Easter!  So thankful that today actually feels like Easter – warm and sunny!  And we’ve been able to enjoy the day with family and friends.  Really a perfect day.

Bubbles had a wonderful morning of chasing down eggs and opening treats.  Then we had lunch, where one of Ashley’s friends from college declared my White Cheddar Mac & Cheese (no chicken or broccoli today) the best food on Earth.  Yeah, that will make you smile.

Frozen "Easter Egg" - Rapunzel & Flynn Visit Arendelle

Now something to make all of you smile!  You may or may not be aware that Pixar is kind of famous for “Easter Eggs” in their movies – a character or item from one will end in another in a really small way.  Disney does it, too, like when Rapunzel and Flynn show up in Frozen (see above!). While I absolutely love all the new Disney movies and characters, the Winnie the Pooh movies will always had a fond place in my heart.  There’s just something about that lovable bear, unlucky Eeyore, cute little Roo, and all the other friends in the Hundred Acre Wood.  I even still have the plush Easter Eeyore with the butterfly wings that my Gram bought me over a decade ago.

Disney Winnie the Pooh Springtime with Roo on Blu-Ray + Homemade Playdough Carrot

So when Disney recently offered to send us a copy of Winnie the Pooh Springtime with Roo – on Blu-ray for the very first time – I was excited to have the chance to share it with Bubbles.  She’s a big Eeyore fan and was happy to sit and watch it with me.  The Blu-ray packaging also comes with a free Springtime with Roo mobile that you can put together, and she was excited to work on that with me. I received Hershey’s products to fill my DIY Tutu Easter Basket as well as a stipend from Global Influence. All thoughts and words are my own.

Awhile back my Aunt made Bubbles one of those cute tutu skirts.  They’re quite adorable, and Bubbles loved it.  She liked to put it on and dance and pretend to be things like fairies and butterflies.

She’s grown out of it now, so I need to make her one.  In the process of gathering the materials to do so, I thought – hey, it’s almost Easter.  Wouldn’t a tutu Easter basket be really cute?  So I decided to pick up a basket along with a few lengths of tulle and make one along with the skirt. Making Easter Memories with Hershey's

Create Easter Memories to Last a Lifetime

Easter has always been one of my favorite holidays.  It’s in the spring so normally we had a bit of sunny, warm weather (though in northern Maine snow on Easter wasn’t out of the question) so when my brothers and I would wake up we’d find the sun shining through our windows and spotlighting dozens of eggs and other little treats scattered across the floor.  An empty basket was always by the foot of each of our beds and we’d follow the trail down the hall, down the stairs, and all through the house, collecting jelly beans and chocolates as we went.

Making Easter Memories

It’s a tradition that I’ve been excited to share with my own family.  Last year was the first year that Bubbles was mobile and interested enough to toddle around and collect a few eggs in her basket.  She was delighted with the entire process so I think this year will be twice as fun for her.  She’s already talking about the Easter bunny, baskets, eggs, and chocolate.  It was very exciting for her to already have receive one basket.  As it is she loves when the delivery folks knock on our door; she has such fun “helping Mom” open boxes.  So when we recently opened a box that contained an Easter basket full of yummy Hershey’s treats she was extra excited.
