You probably have already noticed me mentioning around here once or ten times that we like a good tailgate.  Whether it’s in the parking lot of our favorite stadium or in our own kitchen and living room, getting together over food to yell at the TV is an excellent pastime.

When we tailgate, I like to provide a lot of options.  Appetizers, entrees, desserts, beverages – I want my family and friends to leave feeling like they couldn’t eat another thing even if they wanted to.  It’s a trait I picked up from my Gram, who always said “Your plate is looking a little empty” no matter how much was left on your plate.

The Big Game is almost here!  Did your favorite team make it to the match up between the final two?  Or are you just planning to watch for the commercials?

Either way, you’re probably going to want some tailgating food.  I like to serve lots of finger foods, then mix in one or two main entrees.  So I thought I’d share a few of my favorite dessert and appetizer recipes sure to please no matter how big or small your crowd will be.

This post on HoneyBaked Ham Catering for the big game is sponsored by HoneyBaked Ham.  All words and opinions are my own.

If you remember back before the holidays, I told you about our family’s love for HoneyBaked Ham as a Christmas Eve staple.  Granted, I’d happily eat it any day of the week, but that’s the occasion with which I’ve always associated it.  But after spending time inside one of the local HoneyBaked Ham Cafes, I found that they offer a whole lot more.

HoneyBaked Ham Catering Options: HoneyBaked Ham and HoneyBaked Turkey Breast #HoneyBakedGameDay

In addition to being able to walk in and pick up a ham, I found that they also have whole and half turkey breast with that same delicious crunchy crackle.  Growing up, all our holiday dinners always included both ham and turkey, so this was a good piece of information to learn.  Now I can serve both to my guests, also, and only need to stop one place to pick them up.
