Make a List, Check it Twice

From whom you’re inviting to what you’re serving, you’ll need a list.  The guest list is usually the easiest thing to knock out, so do that first.  Plus you’ll want to give your friends and family enough time to shift their schedules so they can attend.  Next, write out everything you need to shop for: ingredients, packaged foods, paper products, decorations, etc.  I write out a master list on paper, then do separate digital shopping lists by store on an app in my phone.
