There’s a lot to enjoy this time of year.  Cooler weather means hoodies and snuggling under cozy blankets, the leaves are turning beautiful shades, pumpkin everything is everywhere.  Oh, and did I mention lots and lots of football?

These easy Buffalo Chicken Quesadillas are the perfect thing to serve up at your next tailgate!

The weekends are full of football – football and food.  Whether we’re tailgating or homegating there’s always a spread of dips, finger foods, chili, desserts, whatever you can imagine. Continue reading »

When it comes to dips, I don’t limit myself to just chips.  That’s not to say that I don’t love a good chip and dip, because I do.  But I also like to dip chicken strips, fries, onion rings, pizza, and if the sauce or dip is particular good, a spoon.

Smoky Ketchup recipe and Copycat Outback Bloom Sauce recipe with Alexia Fries, Sweet Potato Fries and Onion Rings #GameTimeGrub

Hubby has been craving onion rings lately.  They’re not something I’ve ever made before, though my Mom made homemade ones frequently when I was a kid.  Instead, I just picked up a bag of Alexia Crispy Onion Rings when I was shopping at Walmart the other day.  Far easier and much less messy than homemade, for sure, something that has extra merit on game day when you’re trying to feed a crowd. This shop and my trifle recipe & milkshake shooters have been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions, photos and recipes are mine alone. #GameTimeMVP #CollectiveBias

Over the weekend I spent some time working on more of my menu for game day.  When I’m trying something new, or even just a variation on something I make often, I like to give them a trial run to ensure they work out the way I think they will.  No one around here minds needing to eat some of the same things twice, I promise.

Game Day Recipes: Butterfingers Peanut Butter Cups Minis trifle recipe & milkshake shooters with DiGiorno Cheese Stuffed Crust 5 Cheese Pizza #GameTimeMVP

I’ve been kind of loving the ButterFinger Peanut Butter Cups since they came out, and when I saw the new ButterFinger Peanut Butter Cups Minis at Walmart not that long ago an idea started to form.  My Mom makes an amazing chocolate trifle with crushed up candy bars.  I thought it would be perfect to replace the candy bars with chopped up ButterFinger Peanut Butter Cups Minis so I picked up a bag to bake with (as well as a smaller bag to snack on). Over the last few years I’ve shared a lot of tailgating and Big Game recipes with you all.  I married a football guy and he converted me to a football gal (though I do still like watching the commercials).  With the Big Game just around the corner I thought I’d share a little of what we’re working on this year.

Easy Game Day Appetizers and Party Ideas for the Big Game #PrepareToParty

When I entertain on game day I generally like to go cute but simple.  I want food my guests can enjoy without missing a play, so either something they can hold or something that they can snatch for a single bite before yelling at the TV (that does happen in other houses, right?). This pregame pride post is sponsored by Global Influence. All words and opinions are my own.

It’s no secret that we’re big NCAA football fans.  You’ll find a number of posts here about our love for the game and some great tailgating recipes.

I think most sports fans have certain pregame rituals that they follow.  Specific clothes they wear, a meal they eat, a place they go to watch the game.  Even my husband’s Aunt and her husband get into the act, attending all local college football games and even traveling to many of the season’s away games.
