PBS KIDS has recently announced a few new DVDs as well as new episodes and all new shows. There are also new apps available, new ways to stream your favorite PBS KIDS shows, and an extra 30 minutes of Sesame Street!

Dinosaur Train: Dinosaurs in the Snow
Dinosaur Train is a favorite in our house and we’ve been enjoying the Dinosaurs in the Snow DVD for the last few weeks. We’ve watched the dinosaurs travel to and see the North Pole for the very first time. While there Tiny, Don, Shiny and Buddy also saw their first snow. Later there was a discussion on whether or not tall trees – like Christmas trees – could really have grown from a tiny little seed. Continue reading »

Frozen
There’s finally a teaser trailer and first look images available from Disney’s upcoming Frozen! I’m excited for this movie as it’s done by the studio that produced both Tangled and Wreck-It Ralph, two of my favorite more recent Disney films. Fearless optimist Anna sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.

PBS recently released “The Best of Caillou: Caillou’s Outdoor Adventure” on DVD. As we’re big Caillou fans in our house, we were pretty excited. A quick episode or two right before bedtime really helps Bubbles to wind down and get ready to fall asleep. And we’re obviously not alone in our love of the cute preschooler; over 4 million households tune in to watch each month!
