The older Bubbles gets, the more fun the holidays are.  Her excitement and anticipation are infectious and make me look forward to all the activities and festivities even more.  It was no surprise to me that with the sighting of Easter goodies in stores, that she has started to ask about when the Easter Bunny will be coming.

Disney Princess Glittery Homemade Silly Putty Tutorial #DisneyEaster

Putting together a basket for her is one of my favorite parts of the season.  Last year I made her a DIY tutu skirt basket and added a homemade playdough carrot.  She had such fun with that aspect of it that I decided I wanted to do something similar this year. Continue reading »

As much as I love all the new Disney movies, there will always be a special place in my heart for the classics.  So I was really happy when they released the Sleeping Beauty Diamond Edition Blu-ray/DVD combo a few weeks ago.  Sleeping Beauty is only the 10th film released as part of the prestigious Blu-ray Diamond Edition collection.

Sleeping Beauty Diamond Edition Blu-ray + DVD: Sleeping Beauty and Prince Phillip

Bubbles knew of Sleeping Beauty from some of her books but had never watched the movie.  I was offered a review copy so when it arrived, we sat down that night to get her caught up on the story of Aurora, Maleficent, Prince Phillip and the sweet fairies Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather.  Bubbles was familiar with them more than any of the characters, as they are also characters in the Sofia the First TV show. Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph Opened #1!

Disney's "Wreck-It Ralph" Movie - #1 Opening Weekend

For all those who went and saw Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph on the opening weekend – thank you for supporting Disney and such a great movie.  Thanks to you, Wreck-It Ralph opened #1 at the box office with $49 million – the largest opening in Walt Disney Animation Studio’s history!  The movie continues to collect accolades from critics, and everyone that I’ve spoken to that saw it has said they loved it.  I know the music makes me want to sing along every time I hear a commercial for it.

If you have loved the nostalgic feel of the games, or if you want to share something fun from your childhood with your kiddos, you’ll love this free printable build your own mini “Fix It Felix Jr.” game cabinet!  I remember spending many an hour in arcades (which are almost as extinct as the rotary phone, sadly) playing games just like this one.  Click each image to open a larger, printable version.
