Thank you to The Motherhood and Kimberly-Clark for partnering with me to bring you this printable cleaning chart for preschoolers.

Bubbles loves to help around the house.  She knows where we keep the duster and often just gets it and asks if she can dust.  And if she hears the dryer buzz when it’s finished, she races me there so she can help fold clothes.

How to Make Spring Cleaning Fun for the Whole Family

The past couple of weeks we’ve had a few days of beautiful weather mixed in with some rainy cold ones.  When the sun has been out, we’ve been out with it getting a jump on our spring cleaning.  As Bubbles, of course, has wanted to be involved in that, too, I looked for a way to make it easier for her to participate. I really love to watch Bubbles build.  It’s interesting to me how much pure creativity she has without any outside guidance.  One minute she’s building a city for her My Little Ponies, the next it’s a castle for her Disney princesses, and after that she’s building the tallest tower she can.

Enhance STEM skills through fun play with the magnetic construction kits from Build & Imagine. This one is Malia's Beach House.

Recently I was asked if we would like to receive one of the Build & Imagine construction sets to review.  Once I took a look at them I knew that Bubbles would love them.  So I showed her the different sets available and she chose Malia’s Beach House. Continue reading »

This shop and my Disney Frozen potty chart have been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #PUBigKid #CollectiveBias

Bubbles has been “in the process” of potty training for awhile now.  We’ve had a lot of success in certain areas; she’s been nighttime potty trained for probably a year and always goes potty first thing in the morning.  It’s the rest of the day where we have had a few challenges.

Potty Training with Elsa & Anna + a free printable Disney Frozen potty chart! #PUBigKid

The main challenge being that Bubbles doesn’t like to miss out on anything.  If we leave the room to go potty, we might miss the family of rabbits in the backyard or her favorite song might come on.  Or worse still in her mind, she’d have to miss a few minutes of playtime.  None of that is worth taking two minutes for a potty break. Choosing gifts for little kids can be harder than you might think.  I mean, yes, there are plenty of toys around.  And there are no shortage of commercials causing kiddos to shout “I want that!”.  But how much is hype and how much is true interest?

Checking out the Barbie Bubble-tastic Mermaid at the Walmart Toyland Chosen By Kids event
This Barbie Bubble-tastic Mermaid post is brought to you by Sverve. All words and opinions are my own.

A couple of weeks ago I shared that I was heading to the Walmart Toyland event at our local Walmart.  They had some of this year’s hot toys available for hands-on play.  Bubbles was excited to try her hand at a few different products, and as a Mom I appreciated being able to judge her reaction and see which ones she gravitated towards. For those of you who love to wait until the last minute to do your shopping, never fear!  While there certainly has been a scramble this year for certain toys, the hot Hasbro toys are still available.  Here are a few of my favorites that will be under our tree this year.

Hot Hasbro Toys: Easy-Bake Ultimate Oven

Did you know that it’s the 50th Anniversary of the Easy-Bake Oven?  When I was little I remember playing with the really old school one at my Gram’s house.  It had been my Mom’s and my Aunt’s when they were young (so definitely old school!). Continue reading »
