The other day I was shopping at Sam’s Club and I saw something interesting in the freezer case.  Pretzel-Crusted Mozzarella Sticks.  They sounded amazing and I wondered why on Earth no one had thought of them before.

I knew our freezer was packed full, so instead I just took a picture of the box to remind me of them for later.  (Am I the only weirdo that does that?  I’m always taking pictures of things I want to try later or look up review of online.)  When I got home I was talking to hubby about them and then it dawned on me: why don’t I just make my own?

And so I did.  They are really easy to make and there’s a good chance that you have most, if not all, the ingredients already on hand.  Not counting freezing time they take less than 15 minutes to make so you can be munching on ooey, gooey melted cheese with a bit of a crunchy, salty exterior in no time flat. The other day I was at the store browsing through the freezer case.  We were planning for guests that would be coming over to watch football and my cart was already quite full with frozen foods.  But then I spotted Nestle Crunch Dipped Drumsticks and decided I just had to make room.

I tucked them in my cart and finished my Walmart run.  I had picked up some of our – and our guests’ – favorite foods for our get-together.  Stouffer’s lasagna, Hot Pockets, DiGiorno pizza, and Edy’s ice cream.  We would definitely have lots of yummy goodness for our party. Continue reading »

This Big Game party planning tips shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and Rubbermaid and Sharpie but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #RubbermaidSharpie  http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO

With the Big Game coming up, I thought I’d share some of my party planning tips and ideas.  Hopefully some of these suggestions will make it easier for you to be hanging out with your guests having fun versus stressing because you forgot to buy extra paper towels.  (And trust me, with football food, you’ll want those extra paper towels!)

Big Game Party Planning Tips

Make a List, Check it Twice

From whom you’re inviting to what you’re serving, you’ll need a list.  The guest list is usually the easiest thing to knock out, so do that first.  Plus you’ll want to give your friends and family enough time to shift their schedules so they can attend.  Next, write out everything you need to shop for: ingredients, packaged foods, paper products, decorations, etc.  I write out a master list on paper, then do separate digital shopping lists by store on an app in my phone. It’s that time of year again!  Time for football which also means time for food.  Because really, as awesome as the games are, who wants to watch the pigskin fly around without some game day snacks?

The Big Game is still a few weeks away, but there have been plenty of playoff games each week leading up to it.  This has given us the opportunity to do some test drives, so to say, as to what combination of favorite game day recipes and quick snacks we’ll serve that day.  We’ve also come up with a few games and other fun activities for our guests.

One thing I know we’ll be serving is wings because, well, we love wings.  Specifically we’ll be serving up the Tyson Any’tizers Hot Wings.  They’ve got a bit of heat without being too hot, there is just the right amount of sauce, and they taste really great. Continue reading »

I received a copy of the Tickety Toc DVD in order to facilitate my review. All words and thoughts are my own.

We love watching Tickety Toc on Nick Jr.  It’s such an unique, fun show, one that we enjoy watching right along with Bubbles.  She especially loves to watch while playing with her Tickety Toc toys.  So when we were offered the opportunity to check out the newest Tickety Toc DVD, The Unstoppable, Unpoppable Bubble, it was a no-brainer.
