Sweet and salty is such a yummy pairing and I love to combine the tastes in different munch recipes.  You’ll find similar concoctions available from retailers, especially around the holidays.  Different mixes of popcorn, pretzels, chocolate, candies, sprinkles, and more.

Here’s a quick and easy Christmas munch recipe for you.  It makes a great gift for foodie friends, or you could pair it with a DVD and some hot chocolate mix and give the gift of a family movie night.  It stores well, so often I’ll make a batch and fill bags with individual portions.  I fancy them up with a bit of ribbon, fill a basket, and have people grab a snack when they come to visit (and another to take home with them when they go).

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of International Delight. The opinions and text are all mine.

I’ve always enjoyed experimenting in the kitchen.  There used to be a TV show that was called something like “Just Like Mom” where kids would “cook” by making up recipes the way they thought they should be.  It was a funny show – ketchup was used in cookies more often than you would think.

In middle school I started experimenting with both different flavor profiles as well as ingredient substitution.  One of my first attempts at creating something different was with fruit muffins.  I tried different juices in place of the other liquids in muffin mixes to see if I could amp up the flavor.  For example, cranberry and blueberry muffins had cranberry juice mixed in.  From there I learned that flavored liquids could really change the overall taste of whatever I was making.

Most of you know how much I love Christmas.  And Pinterest.  I sit and pin things – crafts, recipes, DIY, gift ideas, etc. – all year long.  Tear ideas out from magazines and toss them in my Christmas file folder.  By the time I’m done I have dozens, if not hundreds, of awesome projects laid out for myself.

And then Christmas comes.

Christmas in July - 31 Days of Crafts, Recipes, DIY, Gift Ideas & More

The season is my favorite time of year but it’s so busy.  There are parties and services, shopping and envelope-addressing, cooking and baking (and eating!).  And of course we want to carve out time for special activities and events to make memories for our children and family.  Who has time to make those cute snowmen or make a ribbon tree?

I found that I didn’t, and that I was a little disappointed that all these great ideas were just sitting there gathering dust.  So I decided that it would be fun to make some of these things ahead so they’re ready to go during the holidays.  For the recipes, at least I’ll know what ones turned out well and which ones didn’t so I don’t waste any of my baking time later.

Whether you choose to work on any of these projects now or just pin them for the holidays, I hope you enjoy my 31 Days of Christmas Crafts, DIY, Recipes & More.

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and All You, but all my opinions – and experiences with the angel hair pasta recipe – are my own. #lifeforless #pmedia http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO

I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned this before, but I’m kind of crazy for magazines.  I like all kinds of magazines: women’s, cooking, home decor, decorating, DIY, parenting, family, photography, local, holiday, even some fashion.  When I shop I always take a few minutes to browse the magazine racks and aisle to see any covers that jump out at me or any new publications that interest me.

Recently I was shopping at Kroger and I had a bit of a magazine surprise.  I found a display of All You!  Previously All You had only been available on the newsstand at Walmart.  But now, happily, it’s at Kroger (and other stores, too, I hear).
