We received a copy of The Adventures of Chuck & Friends Bumpers Up! in order to facilitate our review.  All thoughts and words are my own.

We do a whole lot of princesses and fairies around here, but Bubbles is also a fan of trucks and race cars, too.  She has a little Chuck the Truck that she loves to drive around so I wasn’t surprised that she is a big fan of The Adventures of Chuck & Friends Bumpers Up! DVD that we recently received.

The DVD is packed with ten full episodes.  In them Chuck, along with this friends Digger, Handy, Rowdy, Biggs, Boomer & Flip, learn a lot of lessons and have a lot of fun.  The lessons portion of the show is one of the reasons I like to let Bubbles watch.  There’s a lot of fun children’s entertainment but it isn’t always easy to marry that with positive messaging in a way that will keep kids engaged.

Entertainment Roundup: Disneynature's Bears - Earth Day, 2014

Disneynature’s Bears will be the fifth release from Disney’s newest film label.  It will open in theaters on April 18th, 2014 to celebrate Earth Day.  Make plans to see it during opening week as Disneynature, via the Disney Worldwide Conservation Fund, will make a donation to the National Parks Foundation, the official charity of America’s national parks.  Check out the adorable bears in the clip below. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

The first track of “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” soundtrack is about to be released.  On August 26th “Atlas” by Coldplay will be available for purchase.  This is the first time that the multi-Grammy winning band has recorded an original song for a major motion picture.  This is in preparation for Catching Fire‘s November 22nd theatrical release.  The first partnership between Republic Records and Lionsgate yielded the Grammy-winning, chart-dominating “The Hunger Games: Songs From District 12 And Beyond” featuring Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, and others. Hang Ten! Disney’s Teen Beach Movie is a Fun Summertime Watch

I received a preview copy of Teen Beach Movie in order to facilitate my review.  All opinions and words are my own.

What happens when you take a themed musical and breath Disney magic on it?  You get Teen Beach Movie, a fun new musical that the entire family can enjoy together.  It goes without saying how much I love Disney movies and this one did not disappoint.

Disney’s Teen Beach Movie is kind of like Grease meets West Side Story and they all decide to hang out on the beach.  For someone that loves the old musicals (I seriously couldn’t begin to count the number of times I have watched Grease), it was a great premise.  Unlike some of the musicals of the 70s and 80s, though, this is much more family-friendly all the way through, making it a good way to introduce your kiddos to the genre.
