I am participating in a blog post campaign for One2One Network and Walt Disney Records.  All thoughts and words are my own.

One of my favorite parts of walking through the Disney parks or watching a Disney movie is the amazing music that accompanies them.  Many consider Disney Music a genre of it’s own and is probably the most recognized and beloved song catalog in the world.  I know that any time I hear the songs, I can’t help but sing – and in some cases dance – along.

The first time I visited Walt Disney World was when I was 6 years old.  Music was playing everywhere we went.  From the Electrical Light Parade choreography and daytime parades, the queues for the shows and rides, even to the waiting areas transportation – everything was perfectly created to invoke a specific feeling.

Thank you to Disney for covering my expenses on a recent press trip where I was able to interview Jaimie Alexander.  No additional compensation was received and all opinions are my own.

I share the other day all the fun from my Tom Hiddleston interview.  But Tom wasn’t the only Thor: The Dark World cast member that we were able to speak with while in L.A.  We also had the chance to sit down with Jaimie Alexander who plays the Asgardian warrior Sif.

You probably heard Jaimie’s name mentioned quite a few times right after the Thor: The Dark World red carpet premiere.  It seems that nearly every news outlet was talking about her dress.  We didn’t get to see it right away as she was wearing a coat during our interview, but once we arrived on the carpet and had a chance to see it, you can understand why it was being talked about: it made quite the statement. I received samples to facilitate this post on guest bathroom ideas.  No additional compensation was received and all thoughts and words are my own.

House guests are definitely more common during the holidays.  Whether it’s Thanksgiving or Christmas or the time in between, family and friends will be coming from far and wide to spend time together.  It’s always nice to make guests as comfortable as possible, but you definitely don’t want to break the bank.

5 Guest Bathroom Decorating Ideas for The Holidays

One of the easiest places to make an impact is the guest bathroom.  It’s a small space so a few small changes can make a big impact.  Here are five holiday decorating ideas for a comfortable, inviting guest space. Continue reading »

Thank you to Disney for providing trip expenses to Disney’s Toon Studios during National Aviation Month.  All thoughts and words are my own.

One of my favorite parts of our Disney trip was a visit to the Disney Toon Studios.  I love behind-the-scenes and making-of kind of features – I’m one of those people that actually watches all the extras on DVDs and Blu-rays.  So getting a “behind the screen peek”, so to speak, of Disney’s Planes during National Aviation Month was pretty cool.

Celebrating National Aviation Month with "Planes" at Disney Toon Studios #DisneyPlanesBloggers

While we were there we spoke to Jason McKinley and Thomas Leavitt, two guys who worked on Planes in Pre-Vis Development.  Jason McKinley was the actual Flight Supervisor for Planes.  And why would you need a Flight Supervisor?  Because, as Jason put it, “Flying is really, really hard.”  They were having difficulty with realistically the movement of the planes, so they created a team that was dedicated solely to flight. Bubbles has been a big fan of, well, bubbles, for quite some time now.  Nearly every day she asks if we can go outside and blow bubbles.  Doesn’t matter if it’s raining, windy, 100 degrees, or snowing – she wants to be outside playing with bubbles.

We were recently given the opportunity to review a scientific experiments kit from The Young Scientists Club.  After taking a few minutes to visit their site, my choice for a kit was a no-brainer.  They have a line of Clifford the Big Red Dog Science Kits, and we love Clifford.  But more exciting was the fact that one of the kits was a Bubble Science kit!
