I was sorting through Bubbles’ books the other day, pulling out each of the titles appropriate for Valentine’s Day so we’d be sure to read them before the holiday passed us by. I try to keep all the holiday books grouped together on one shelf, but sometimes they get mixed in with the others.

10 Kids Valentines Day Books + 2 Bonus Book Ideas!

She’s outgrown a lot of our Valentine’s Day books for preschoolers, so I’m setting some of those aside to pass down to her younger cousins. For this year, we’ve picked up a few kids Valentines Day books that are geared a little more towards older kids. Continue reading »

One of my favorite ways to spend time with my daughter is when we sit together and read.  What better way to celebrate mom’s day than spending extra time snuggled up reading some of these Mother’s Day books for kids?

Celebrate Mother's Day with extra snuggles while you read these 10 Mother's Day Books for Kids

Some of these books we purchased, a few were gifts, and some were sent by our friends at Macmillan.  Most of them are easily found on Amazon (I’ve included affiliate links for easy shopping), though you may have the most luck finding Hugs for Mommy in your local bookstore. Continue reading »

We have a new tablet that Bubbles is very excited about.  We spend a little time snuggling at night and she gets to use it with me, to play a few educational games, maybe watch a couple of videos.  And once I showed her that we could use it to read some of her favorite books, she was thrilled.

Learning to read with Disney Story Central digital books

Thank you to flattenme for providing a copy of Owl Always Love You for our review.  All words and thoughts are my own.

I’ve always been glad that reading to Bubbles is not something that we have to force.  Even now that her interests are growing in other areas, it hasn’t changed.  She’ll still pick up a book multiple times per day to thumb through on her own, or to bring to one of us for a snuggle and story.

One of the newest books that’s in our rotation is “Owl Always Love You”.  It’s the story of Mommy & Daddy’s love for their little one, made even more personal by the fact that Bubbles’ name is printed on nearly every page.  Sharing a sentiment that I want her to think about as she falls asleep, “Owl Always Love You” really is the perfect addition to our nightly routine.
