Snow days can pop up unexpectedly and it’s nice to have some quick and easy activities on hand to keep the kiddos busy.  This Build Your Own Snowman printable will keep them occupied until the snow stops and they can head outdoors to play.  Just click the image below for a printable version.

There are lots of ways to keep the fun going, too.  You can attach them to magnetic sheets and cut them out so they can stick them on the fridge or a cookie sheet.  You could also cut them out and laminate them; they’ll be durable for multiple uses and kids could even color on some of their own additions.

Christmas in July: 31 Days of Christmas Crafts, Recipes, DIY & More

Jul 052013

With the 4th of July holiday I got a bit behind on posting these, but here is the third installment of Christmas in July.  Today I wanted to share with you a cute DIY Christmas gift that pretty much anyone would love to receive.

DIY Christmas Gifts - "We Whisk You a Merry KISSmas" #CIJ13

I saw this one on Pinterest and then changed it up just a bit to better match my style.  They would make great holiday hostess gifts, or you could make a bunch in advance and keep them in a basket in your house for drop-in guests. Continue reading »

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and Goldfish Puffs.  All opinions and words are 100% mine.

Finding snacks that the whole family will enjoy can be a bit tough.  This is especially true when you’re talking about a mix of toddlers and teens.  Pureed fruit and vegetable pouches don’t do a lot for Austin and protein bars aren’t exactly appropriate for Bubbles.

Goldfish Puffs at Target - Great Snack for the Whole Family #makeitgopuff

However the other day I was shopping at my second home – Target – and I saw a new addition in the snack aisle.  Goldfish Puffs.  Now, I’ve tried a lot of Goldfish crackers.  I remember eating them as a kid, myself, and with having a toddler they’re a staple in our house.  We buy the original, cheddar, multi-color, graham, pretzel – all kinds, really.  But Goldfish Puffs weren’t something I had even heard of before.  You can see our whole day of shopping at Target. Exciting Movie News: First Look at Disney's Frozen #DisneyFrozen

There’s finally a teaser trailer and first look images available from Disney’s upcoming Frozen!  I’m excited for this movie as it’s done by the studio that produced both Tangled and Wreck-It Ralph, two of my favorite more recent Disney films. Fearless optimist Anna sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter.

I’m pretty sure that my Dad loves Disney almost as much as I do. Starting with our very first trip when I was in 1st grade he went out of his way to make it special for me (much like he went out of his way to make most things in my life special). Later in life, when I left the nest and attended college in Florida, he would drive me down (from Maine) at the start of every school year. He always made sure, though, that we had a chance to swing by Disney before hitting the dorms, though.

So I think he’d very much approve of the below messages from Mike and Sulley and Dusty and Skipper.
