There are so many exciting things about the new Disney Tomorrowland movie coming on May 22, 2105 that I don’t know where to start.

Tomorrowland Movie - May 22, 2015

First, there’s the cast.  I have been in love with Huge Laurie since the first episode of House and I’m glad to see he’s coming to the big screen.  Add in Judy Greer, Tim McGraw and others and there’s a lot to be happy about. Continue reading »

I have a bottle of water on me pretty much at all times.  In the car, in my “diaper bag”, on my desk, when I’m hitting the treadmill.  Staying hydrated helps curb hunger and lets your body run optimally.

As much as I love water, sometimes I want a little flavor.  And that’s when I reach for Crystal Light To Go packs.  I’ve been using them for years now, and I love them.  You can’t beat the convenience of tucking those little packets into your pocket or purse and having a pop of flavor whenever you want. Quaker has asked me to share about their #QuakerPlayMaker partnership with the NFL and Fuel Up to Play 60 and has provided prizes for a giveaway. All words and thoughts are my own.

Growing up I played outside a lot.  My parents’ house sits on a decent amount of land, so there was plenty of space to ride bikes, play softball, and walk the dog.  My brothers even used one lawn to make their own golf “course” and driving range.

Fortunately Bubbles doesn’t need to be convinced to enjoy playing outside.  She loves to run around, ride her trike, and play on her swing set, to name a few.  Honestly, if there were a few less “icky bugs” out there, I don’t know that she’d ever come inside. Continue reading »

We live in a completely different world than I grew up in.  I saw my first computer – the green screen kind – when I was in 3rd grade.  By the time I was in high school, we were building computers from the ground up and selling them as part of a school project.  Somewhere in the middle of there, the world started to go even more digital with email and the start of the Internet.  It was a very exciting time and I feel fortunate that I grew up as the technology was evolving.

It’s different for the generations that have come after me, though.  Ashley and Austin grew up on Facebook, and Bubbles will never know a time when people didn’t constantly provide updates on their lives through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and more.  This opens up entirely new parenting challenges as we try and teach them how to use it safely and respectfully. This pumpkin spice buttercream frosting recipe is sponsored by International Delight. All thoughts and words are my own.

Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve really been enjoying the onset of fall and all the things that go with that.  Corn mazes and pumpkin patches, football, and sampling all the flavors of fall.

One of my favorite fall flavors is pumpkin spice. By the volume of Pinterest pins, commercials, and Facebook commentary surrounding pumpkin spice, apparently I’m not alone.  Whether it’s sipping pumpkin spice coffee or eating pumpkin spice muffins, it’s everywhere you turn. Continue reading »
