Does anyone else have a family that gets down-right giddy when they come to the TV displays in any store?  We’ve been stopped so many times by my husband as he oohs and ahhs over the latest technology, that now even Bubbles points and starts talking about how great the picture is or “that’s a big TV Mama!”.

It’s the stunning design of LG OLED TV which is only 0.21″ thick at its thinnest point.  Seriously, think about that for a second – that’s less than a quarter inch.  You can barely do the pinching “it’s this small” thing with your fingers. There have been lots of internet whisperings since Toy Story 3 left us all sobbing into our popcorn as we watched Buzz, Woody, and all their friends hold hands and brace for the end.  “Will there be a Toy Story 4?”  “If there is a Toy Story 4, will it follow the familiar friends, or spin off to new toys?”

It's official! Toy Story 4 is happening. The release date will be June 16, 2017

Years ago I often had to travel for work for weeks at a time.  I was young and unmarried and thought living in a hotel and eating out a restaurant every night for up to 8 weeks straight was fun.  Traveling during the holidays, though, wasn’t quite as fun.  Fortunately my coworkers and trainees always went out of their way to make me feel welcome and to make the time special.

There’s one occasion that really stands out, though, and that’s the time when a girl in one of my classes made me a poke cake right before Thanksgiving.  I had never had a poke cake before, can you believe that?  I know they’re made all different ways, but this one had a favorite hard-to-find soda of mine poured over the top before covering it with a whipped topping.  It was a family recipe, but the girl was sweet enough to share it with me (I guess she didn’t worry about much recipe “competition” from Florida as they lived in Texas). So by now you’ve probably already heard that the highly-anticipated lineup of movies dubbed Marvel Phase 3 has been anounced.  Apologies for not sharing this news sooner, it’s just been a little hectic lately!

I first found out about the announcement while we were driving home from the restaurant a couple of weeks ago.  I am fairly certainly that the people driving next to us probably thought I was having a medical event, because I was bouncing around and gesturing wildly as I read the news on my phone (don’t worry, hubby was driving).  I kept scrolling and scrolling – the lineup is massive – and punctuated what I was reading with an “Oh my gosh!” and “You’re not going to believe who is in this?!”.
