After what feels like weeks of nonstop rain, we were finally supposed to get a break with two days of sun over the weekend.  I woke up on Friday to find that we had been granted a bonus day, as the skies were clear and it was already warming up.  It was a little bit like being in school and finding out it was an early release day that you didn’t know about.

Easy DIY Sidewalk Paint Tutorial

Apparently I wasn’t the only one who felt that way, as when I walked outside nearly the entire neighborhood was out.  There were lawn mowers being gassed up, lawns raked, garages being cleaned.  We all had spring cleaning fever and no one was going to let the opportunity to get some work done pass us by before the rain started to fall again. Pinterest is, even after all these years, still probably one of my favorite websites.  There are tons of great DIY ideas, tantalizing recipes, and just plain pretty stuff.  There are enough projects there to keep me busy for probably the rest of my life.

Easy Kids DIY Hair Accessory Organizer for hair bows, headbands and hair clips. No tools and no glue gun needed! Done in under 15 minutes.

Putting together a basket for her is one of my favorite parts of the season.  Last year I made her a DIY tutu skirt basket and added a homemade playdough carrot.  She had such fun with that aspect of it that I decided I wanted to do something similar this year. Continue reading »

Have you ever reached for a drink just to wonder, “Is this mine?”  It’s easy to happen, especially in the hustle and bustle of a game day party.  They make those little charms for wine glasses so I thought I’d make my own version for bottles.

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions and projects, including the Christmas word search, are mine alone. #PlanesToTheRescue #CollectiveBias

Bubbles hasn’t been feeling very well the past few days.  She feels a little bit like she’s missing out on all the Christmas festivities so I decided to put together a couple of fun activities that she could do while sitting.  In fact, she really doesn’t even have to get off the couch unless she feels like it.  The games I created are easy to play sitting, standing, or on the go.

Having fun with Disney Planes toys and Disney Planes-themed Christmas games (like a printable Christmas Word Search, and a matching game) #PlanesToTheRescue

I chose these two activities for another reason, too.  First, Bubbles has been very interested in learning how to spell and read lately so I thought a Christmas word search would be good practice.  And second, she loves to match and sort (everything in the house) and chocolate kisses are her favorite treat; I thought it would be fun to combine the two.
