While I absolutely love all the new Disney movies and characters, the Winnie the Pooh movies will always had a fond place in my heart.  There’s just something about that lovable bear, unlucky Eeyore, cute little Roo, and all the other friends in the Hundred Acre Wood.  I even still have the plush Easter Eeyore with the butterfly wings that my Gram bought me over a decade ago.

So when Disney recently offered to send us a copy of Winnie the Pooh Springtime with Roo – on Blu-ray for the very first time – I was excited to have the chance to share it with Bubbles.  She’s a big Eeyore fan and was happy to sit and watch it with me.  The Blu-ray packaging also comes with a free Springtime with Roo mobile that you can put together, and she was excited to work on that with me. I received Hershey’s products to fill my DIY Tutu Easter Basket as well as a stipend from Global Influence. All thoughts and words are my own.

Awhile back my Aunt made Bubbles one of those cute tutu skirts.  They’re quite adorable, and Bubbles loved it.  She liked to put it on and dance and pretend to be things like fairies and butterflies.

She’s grown out of it now, so I need to make her one.  In the process of gathering the materials to do so, I thought – hey, it’s almost Easter.  Wouldn’t a tutu Easter basket be really cute?  So I decided to pick up a basket along with a few lengths of tulle and make one along with the skirt. I can’t believe I’m typing this, but Bubbles turns 3-years-old this month.  Seriously, I know the cliches about growing up so fast and how time flies – but it’s just so true.  She’s more preschooler than toddler, and lets us know what a “big girl” she is on a regular basis.

Her birthday party will be this weekend, and when offered multiple choices on party themes she, unsurprisingly, chose Disney Planes.  So this week I’ve been working on a few favors and supplies.  I still need to finish up the party favors and treat bags, plus finalize my cake design.  But I think I have all the table decorations and paper goods so not too much left to do.

Which is good, because Bubbles is super-excited about her party.  She asks every morning if it’s her birthday yet, rattles off the guest list, and asks about her Disney Planes cake.  She also has invited pretty much everyone at any store we’ve been to in the past two weeks. Continue reading »

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Starburst.  I received product samples to create DIY Halloween projects and to facilitate my review, and promotional item as a thank you for participating.

I love decorating for the holidays.  Before I had a toddler, I often completed complex projects that required a lot of time and supplies.  Now that I have a little one, finding time for DIY projects can be a challenge.  So I tend to look for projects that are easier to complete and take less time.  Score extra points for projects that use items from around the house.

Tori Spelling is a mom, too, but she still loves to entertain and craft.  So she’s partnered with Starburst to share a number of crafts using their Candy Corn.  One of the projects she made was a cute “BOO” sign.  It was so cute, actually, that I decided to make one myself! Continue reading »
