Disney’s The BFG was my surprise hit of 2016. The story is a childhood favorite for many, so I expected the movie to be good. What I didn’t expect was for it to be great – which it was.
The visuals of the movie were especially amazing. One of Bubbles’ favorite parts of the movie was when Sophie and The BFG went to Dream Country to collect the dreams. It was absolutely magical to watch the dreams zip around while Sophie chased them with delight. Continue reading »
Bubbles loves Shopkins and I have to admit that I do too! We love the mystery of what’s in the little blind bags and then matching them up to the guide to find the name and rarity.

We only live a short distance away from Bubbles’ school so I drop her off in the mornings and pick her up at night. By the time she gets to the car it’s around 3:50 and the door barely closes behind her when she asks for a snack.
Bubbles has always been a little bit of a slow eater, and they don’t get a lot of time for lunch at school. There have been plenty of times she’s got in the car and said she only had time to eat part of her meal. And as she doesn’t get hungry so much as she gets hangry, I’ve learned to keep snacks with me at pretty much all times. Continue reading »
Christmas is less than a month and a half away! Over the weekend we put up our tree, decorated the house, and baked some cookies. We also worked on some reindeer crafts, like a jingle bell reindeer necklace and cute DIY reindeer treat cups that look like Rudolph.

Bubbles was so excited to start kindergarten this year. We spent time talking about what her teacher might be like, the friends she would make, the kinds of things she would learn.
She decided that she wanted to take something special for all the kids in the class. Because we didn’t yet know what kinds of food allergies there may be, or personal preferences in general, I thought we should go a non-food route.
