Disney’s The BFG was my surprise hit of 2016.  The story is a childhood favorite for many, so I expected the movie to be good. What I didn’t expect was for it to be great – which it was.

Make these easy DIY Dream Jars inspired by Disney's The BFG! Just 3 items needed, including my free printable labels

The visuals of the movie were especially amazing. One of Bubbles’ favorite parts of the movie was when Sophie and The BFG went to Dream Country to collect the dreams.  It was absolutely magical to watch the dreams zip around while Sophie chased them with delight. Continue reading »

Bubbles loves Shopkins and I have to admit that I do too!  We love the mystery of what’s in the little blind bags and then matching them up to the guide to find the name and rarity.

Make my easy-peasy DIY Shopkins Advent Calendar for your little Shopkins fans! It's the perfect way to count down to Christmas. Includes tutorial & free templates, plus a secret to make it resuable year after year

She’s been very interested in the advent calendars we’ve seen in stores this year.  I had been wanting to try my hand at making a DIY advent calendar so with her newfound interest in them I decided now was the time. Continue reading »

We only live a short distance away from Bubbles’ school so I drop her off in the mornings and pick her up at night.  By the time she gets to the car it’s around 3:50 and the door barely closes behind her when she asks for a snack.

These easy RITZ Snowman Treats are a fun way to keep hangry at bay. Download your free printable for snowman stickers today!

Bubbles has always been a little bit of a slow eater, and they don’t get a lot of time for lunch at school.  There have been plenty of times she’s got in the car and said she only had time to eat part of her meal.  And as she doesn’t get hungry so much as she gets hangry, I’ve learned to keep snacks with me at pretty much all times. Christmas is less than a month and a half away!  Over the weekend we put up our tree, decorated the house, and baked some cookies.  We also worked on some reindeer crafts, like a jingle bell reindeer necklace and cute DIY reindeer treat cups that look like Rudolph.

These Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Treat Cups are quick & easy to make! An entire collection of DIY reindeer can be on your table in just a few minutes.

We still have a long list of Christmas crafts that we have planned including some photo ornaments and possibly a DIY advent calendar.  But I wanted to share the tutorial for this easy mini clay pot Rudolph craft so you’d have time to pick up the clay pots. Continue reading »

Bubbles was so excited to start kindergarten this year.  We spent time talking about what her teacher might be like, the friends she would make, the kinds of things she would learn.

She decided that she wanted to take something special for all the kids in the class.  Because we didn’t yet know what kinds of food allergies there may be, or personal preferences in general, I thought we should go a non-food route.  But I didn’t want to just give pencils (partially because we had just finished dropping off dozens of them at Kindergarten Open House).
