This hair care post is a sponsored partnership. All thoughts and words are my own.

Over the years I’ve tried hundreds of different hair care products.  Partly because I love trying new products, and partly because I sort of have an issue with volume.  And by “sort of have an issue” I mean it took the better part of a can of hair spray and more than one package of bobby pins to get my prom look to stay in place.

Suave, Dove & TRESemmé Hair Care Products at Walgreens #TryAndTell

I had the chance to try a few new hair care products lately, products by Suave®, Dove®, and TRESemmé®.   I was especially excited when I saw one of them – the Dove® Oxygen Moisture – was specifically formulated for flat hair.  The other two looked interesting, also, with promises for smoother, shinier hair. I participated in a beef stew recipe campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for the Certified Angus Beef® brand. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

I think it’s cold almost everywhere in the country.  Between all the snow, the cold, and the ice, all my family has been craving are warm, hearty meals.  At the top of the list have been soups, stews, and chilis, with the occasional roast and steak thrown in.

When I reach for a recipe that calls for beef, I always look for the Certified Angus Beef® brand, which is a cut above USDA Prime, Choice and Select grades.  The logo indicates that the beef has met 10 standards for premium quality, including abundant marbling.  Marbling is the little white flecks you see in the meat before cooking; they actually melt during the cooking process, basting the beef from the inside-out.

Certified Angus Beef® Brand Sirloin Steak for our Beef Stew Recipes #RecipeRehab #MC

Tomorrow, February 15th, the Certified Angus Beef® brand is going to be featured on a fun show called Recipe Rehab.  The show takes a family’s favorite high-calorie, family-style recipe and then has two chefs face off to give it a low-calorie twist.  Be sure to check your local CBS listings and catch the show tomorrow to see the chefs in action! Bubbles has always loved music, as I think most kids do.  As she gets older, though, she seems to enjoy it more and more.  Part of our morning routine is dancing and singing together, whether it’s to the theme songs of her favorite cartoons, country music videos on TV, or music streamed from my phone over our speakers.

When the GiggleBellies offered to send us a collection of their award-winning GiggleBellies Musical Adventures music videos on DVD, I said yes, thinking these would be right up Bubbles’ alley.  I hadn’t heard of them before, but I thought they’d be cute little videos, a fun distraction in the middle of all this cold, snow, and ice.  They ended up being so much more!

GiggleBellies DVD 3-Pack and Peanuts the Elephant

To say that Bubbles loves these videos is an understatement.  I was on my way out the door when the package arrived, but when I returned home, my husband said she’d already watched all three of the included DVDs, one of which was a collection of lullabies.  Each disc has anywhere from 9 to 13 animated videos done in 3D, and each one is about 2-3 minutes or so. This is a partnered post brought to you by HomeZada. All thoughts and words are my own.

There is a lot that comes with owning or living in a house.  You have to store all home documents like a mortgage or rental agreement, insurance papers, and warranties and contacts for any work you’ve had done or are in the process of completing.  Plus there’s a lot of upkeep for landscaping, appliances, and the inner workings of the house itself.

It can be hard to keep track of it all without making your head spin, or without something going missing or you forgetting to do something.  I’m an extremely organized person and can lay my hand on pretty much anything you could think to ask for, but even then it usually means rummaging through a bin or box to get to what I need.  Wouldn’t it be nice to have it all online in one spot?

HomeZada Getting Started Guide Walks You Through The Documentation Process

I think so, and so does HomeZada.  HomeZada is the digital hub of information for your home.  It’s where you can upload documents, manage alerts and so much more.  They even have an app so you can access your home’s information on the go. Continue reading »

By the number of times I’ve mentioned how much Bubbles loves Disney Planes, you can probably guess that we’re anxiously waiting on pins and needles for the Planes: Fire & Rescue movie.  It flies into theaters on July 18th, 2014 and really, if we could just time-travel to get there and see the movie, I’m sure Bubbles would approve.  It’s one the entire family can watch together, and you can bet we’ll be there on opening weekend.
