By the number of times I’ve mentioned how much Bubbles loves Disney Planes, you can probably guess that we’re anxiously waiting on pins and needles for the Planes: Fire & Rescue movie.  It flies into theaters on July 18th, 2014 and really, if we could just time-travel to get there and see the movie, I’m sure Bubbles would approve.  It’s one the entire family can watch together, and you can bet we’ll be there on opening weekend.

Dusty in Disney Planes: Fire & Rescue

Planes: Fire & Rescue is a new comedy-adventure about second chances, featuring a dynamic crew of elite firefighting aircraft devoted to protecting historic Piston Peak National Park from raging wildfire.  When world famous air racer Dusty (voiced by Dane Cook) learns that his engine is damaged and he may never race again, he must shift gears and is launched into the world of aerial firefighting.  Dusty joins forces with veteran fire and rescue helicopter Blade Ranger and his courageous team, including spirited super scooper Dipper (voiced by Julie Bowen), heavy-lift helicopter Windlifter, ex-military transport Cabbie and a lively bunch of brave all-terrain vehicles known as The Smokejumpers. Together, the fearless team battles a massive wildfire and Dusty learns what it takes to become a true hero.

You may remember that I had the pleasure of interviewing a number of people behind the scenes of the original Disney Planes.  Feel free to check out my Disney Planes review, my interview with Director Klay Hall and Producer Traci Balthazor-Flynn, my Dusty sketch lesson, and my trip to Disney Toon Studios where I learned about the creation of the film.  It was a great trip and I’m looking forward to what they all have to say about Fire & Rescue, too!

Did you see Disney Planes? Will you see Planes: Fire & Rescue?

  1. Am I authorized to promote this on my twitter?

  2. My son would go crazy – therefore, I am not showing my four year old until the commercials come out 😉
