Achieving your health goals is not always the easiest thing to do.  Sometimes it’s a matter of life getting in the way (or that piece of cheesecake looking really good), sometimes it’s a matter of us not having the proper motivation, and sometimes it’s a matter of us not progressing as well as we think we are.

That last one is something I don’t think we always think about, but can actually be a bigger roadblock than you may think.  Sometimes my perception is that “Wow, I walked a lot today!” or “Hey, I stayed inside my calorie target by a lot”.  But without a tracking method, there’s no way to know if that’s true or not. I participated in the Train Bulletproof Picasso album review program as a member of One2One Network. I was provided a free album to review but all opinions are my own.

Anytime I’m provided with the opportunity to review an album, I almost always accept it. It’s hard to say no to great tunes, especially when it’s a group like Train.

Train is a three-time Grammy winning band out of San Francisco and even if you think you haven’t heard of them, it’s likely that a few of their lyrics are floating around in your head. “Hey, Soul Sister”, “Drops of Jupiter”, and “Calling All Angels” are a few of the songs they’re most known for (and happen to be a few of my own personal favorites). Grilled Steak Kabobs & Steak Marinade Recipe

Most recently I’ve started making steak kabobs.  I like that you get both veggies and protein all in the same bite.  And they’re so easy to customize that your family and guests can choose their favorite ingredients and make them just to their liking. Continue reading »

Summer is slipping away and we are trying to fill the last moments with as many memories as possible.  Backyard play, trips to the mall, crafts, an upcoming road trip and a number of other things.

Easy Parmesan Garlic Knots Recipe #shop

I’ve tried to create extra time where I can, and one of those ways has been to utilize a few shortcuts in the kitchen.  You all probably realize by now that I actually love to cook and bake.  I tend to slow down on it a little during the summer, though; it’s hot, and I’d rather be playing.  There’s plenty of time for baking when it’s 10 degrees and snowing.
