I received Idea Village products in order to facilitate my post.  All words and opinions are my own.

Growing up I always loved those “As Seen On TV” items.  They always seemed so interesting, and often so necessary to my daily life.  Granted I was about 10 at the time, but still.

I didn’t really have my own credit cards back then, either, so I didn’t get to order too many of those “must have” products.  But when you become an adult and you’re earning your own money, you get to make choices you might not have been able to as a kid.  And one of those choices was to pick up some of those “As Seen On TV” items that had been so tantalizing in my youth.

Idea Village Flashlight Friends - Penguin

It may be genetic, as Bubbles recently caught a commercial for Flashlight Friends and decided that she really wanted one.  I thought they were kind of cute, too, and hoped that it would help her sleep better if she knew she had a light she could turn on at will.  That ended up being wishful thinking, but they’re still really cute. In some instances below I received product samples. Others I just love! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Christmas is only a little over 2 weeks away.  While I’m usually done most of my shopping by now, I’m often just starting the hunt for stocking stuffers.  For some reason even though stocking stuffers are some of my favorite gifts to give and receive, they always end up last on the end of purchases.  Here are some last minute stocking stuffers to help you finish up your lists.

Last Minute Stocking Stuffers: Band-Aid & Neosporin Brands

I always remember getting boxes of Band-Aids with fun characters on them in my stockings.  This year will be no different for my own family members.  Between the fun fashion designs and the characters like Jake & the Neverland Pirates and TMNT, there’s a choice for everyone.  Band-Aid Friction Block will be going in both Ashley and my SIL’s stockings; my SIL is a teacher and Ashley will be starting her teaching job in the fall so both of them will be on their feet a lot! I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Soundfreaq. I received a Soundfreaq Sound Spot to facilitate my review.

Our family really enjoys music.  Most any time of day music is being played on a phone or laptop, or even through the television using one of our gaming consoles.  There’s often live music, also, as Ashley and Austin both still play guitar, drums and keyboard regularly.

During the holidays, though, there are even more occasions to play music.  We like to have it as a backdrop while decorating the Christmas tree, have songs to sing while we bake cookies or make Christmas dinner, and to be able to have playing softly in the background when we’re entertaining.  And of course joyful tunes to play on Christmas morning!

This is a sponsored post. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I’ve always been thankful that the friendships I made in elementary school, junior high, and high school have transcended both the years and the miles.  Since graduation I left Maine for college in Florida, then back to Maine to work for a few years, then back to Florida for a job, and now here in Kentucky.  All the back-and-forth could definitely cause strain on some connections.

The one thing that isn’t always easy is the ability to cheer each other up.  During high school if any of my gal pals were feeling blue over a guy or a grade or anything else, the fix was easy.  We headed out to share a large order of french fries and then back to my house to watch the movie Grease.

Smile It Forward with Invisalign

Not too long ago one of my BFFs from Maine was having a rough few days.  You know those weeks were absolutely nothing goes right?  She had a couple of those back-to-back and I wanted to do something for her.  So I popped over to one of my favorite gift basket merchants and had a little pick-me-up delivered to her house.
