I received a Play-Doh Disney Princess Design-a-Dress Boutique set in order to facilitate my review.  No other compensation was received and all thoughts and words are my own.

We have been having a lot of fun with Play-Doh lately.  She has especially loved taking her toy dogs and dinosaurs and having them walk through and make tracks.  It was a creative way to play, but I knew they made a variety of Play-Doh kits that would give her even more options.

At first I was just looking for something that cut simple shapes or maybe had a little rolling pin and stamps.  But then I came across the Play-Doh Disney Princess Design-a-Dress Boutique set.  Bubbles has been talking recently about pretty dresses and shoes and jewelry, so I thought this would be right up her alley. I received a copy of The Little Mermaid 2 and Ariel’s Beginning 2-Movie Collection in order to facilitate my review. No additional compensation was received and all thoughts and words are my own.

The Little Mermaid has always been one of my favorite Disney movies.  The songs, the colors, the under the sea adventure, the romance – it’s the whole package.  I did always wonder, though, about the origins of the kingdom of Atlantica and what Ariel and all her siblings were like when they were little.

I also wondered about what happened with Ariel and Eric after they were married.  Was it truly a happily ever after story?  Did Ariel regret giving up her fins and family for a set of legs and love?

The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning and The Little Mermaid 2: Return to the Sea 2-Movie Collection

To answer those questions, a few years ago Disney released both Ariel’s Beginning and The Little Mermaid 2.  I didn’t have the chance at the time to pick up either copy but now that both are available in one collection, I knew it was time to add them to my library.  Especially because Bubbles enjoys The Little Mermaid, also, and these would be something we could watch together. I received a complimentary subscription to eMeals in order to try meal planning.  All thoughts and words are my own.

There are days around here that if you ask “What would you like for dinner?” all you get in return is a lot of blank stares.  Everyone looks at each other, and eventually someone will say, “I don’t care, what do you want?” which kicks off a chain reaction of “I don’t care, either.  What do you want?”.  It can be funny, except on days when you’re hungry and you really just want someone to tell you what to cook.

I’d try my best to do a little meal planning on Sundays.  I would try and come up with a list of meals we hadn’t eaten recently and slot them throughout the week.  If I had time, which wasn’t as often as I’d like, I’d even break out the local sales flyers to see what was on sale and make a couple of meal choices around that.  Like the rest of you, though, meal planning isn’t my only weekly (or daily or hourly, for that matter) task and it didn’t always work out quite the way I hoped.

Then I read a review of eMeals and thought, “Wow, that sounds like something I need.”  Because eMeals does the meal planning for you.  They even craft the meals around your local weekly sales to help save you money! Continue reading »

Thank you to Hamilton Beach for providing us with smoothie blenders to make our smoothie recipes.  All words and opinions are my own.

Smoothies are something I’ve enjoyed for a long time, especially back when I lived in Florida.  They’re tasty and refreshing, and can be quite healthy.  When I was in college, we’d often stop for one on the way back from the beach.

It wasn’t until recently, though, that I started seeing a lot of homemade smoothie recipes.  I was interested in giving them a try, but I lacked the proper equipment.  We had a small blender, but it wasn’t really up to the challenge of crushing ice.

Thank you to Disney for inviting me to a screening so I could write my Delivery Man review.  All words and opinions are my own.

When I saw the first trailers and sneak peeks of Delivery Man, I have to say that I was intrigued.  Finding out that you had 533 kids would be kind of mind-blowing.  What would David Wozniak (Vince Vaughn) do with that news?

Delivery Man Review #DeliveryManEvent

It turns out his first reaction to the fertility clinic snafu is to shout “¡Yo no soy David Wozniak!”  Not going to lie, I would probably have shouted something similar – and maybe a lot more.  That’s quite the piece of information to have dropped in your lap! Continue reading »
