I remember when LOST first was airing on TV. I had so many thoughts and questions! There was a constant stream of “Oh my gosh, does what she just said somehow tie in to what he just did?” moments, and I couldn’t wait to bounce ideas off my friends about what was going on.

Not all my friends were watching, though. Crazy, right? So I did what any connected girl would do in our day and age: I went online! I searched for forums, boards, and webpages where I could see what others were saying about LOST.

With as many times that we have, today alone, watched Disney Planes, I figured that it’s appropriate to be sharing some new Planes news! There is a new trailer for Disney Planes: Fire & Rescue – one that we’ve watched roughly 30 times in the past couple of days. Bubbles begs me to play it every time I pick up my laptop.

Bubbles isn’t the only excited one in the family. I love that not only are they doing the sequel, but that they’re doing it so fast! So often you have to wait years for a follow up to something great, but not this time. Planes: Fire & Rescue will be in theaters on July 18th.

Disney Planes: Fire & Rescue - Dusty

Our old friend Dusty (voiced again by Dane Cook) returns to Propwash Junction excited about his racing career. But when a fateful training run causes a career-ending injury, he decides to train with the Aerial Fire Fighters at Piston Peak Air Attack Base as a Single Engine Air Tanker (SEAT). The heroic, often life-threatening efforts involved are admirable, but sometimes seem impossible to master, especially when Dusty has injury that can’t be ignored. Continue reading »

There’s just something special about spending an evening hanging out with the girls. Whether it’s drinking coffee and noshing on something sweet, catching a movie, or just hanging out at someone’s house watching some guilty-pleasure housewife-type of show, recharging your batteries with gal pals is important to your mental health.

Of course getting a little glam for Girls’ Night Out is always fun, too. When your regular “crew” is too young to get into a PG-13 movie by themselves, you may tend to skip a few steps in your normal routine. I know most days I’m lucky if I manage to smooth on a little primer and swipe a little mascara across my lashes.

While I absolutely love all the new Disney movies and characters, the Winnie the Pooh movies will always had a fond place in my heart. There’s just something about that lovable bear, unlucky Eeyore, cute little Roo, and all the other friends in the Hundred Acre Wood. I even still have the plush Easter Eeyore with the butterfly wings that my Gram bought me over a decade ago.

So when Disney recently offered to send us a copy of Winnie the Pooh Springtime with Roo – on Blu-ray for the very first time – I was excited to have the chance to share it with Bubbles. She’s a big Eeyore fan and was happy to sit and watch it with me. I have a confession. A few years ago, I kind of laughed at people who bought Smart TVs. I just didn’t get why you would need access to the internet from your television when you could go online from a laptop or even your phone.

A couple of years ago we decided we wanted to upgrade the flat screen in our living room and move the old one to the bedroom and the TV we ended up happening to be a Smart TV. I say “happening” because it definitely was not a deciding factor, and I honestly never thought we’d use those features. But then I realized that I could push a button and access things like Amazon, Hulu, even watch YouTube videos. In beautiful high-def on a big screen. And suddenly, I was sold.
