How we view and use media of any type has changed so much over the years. I’m reminded of that every time my daughter is confused by older technology or shocked by the lack of tech in my childhood (“wait, you didn’t watch videos on the computer when you were a kid? why is that TV a big box, I thought they were all flat?”).
Everything is significantly easier to use now. Entertainment is portable, cameras fit in our pockets and don’t require film, and your phone can act as a TV. Thanks to Amazon for sponsoring this post and stepping up my tech game with cool products and services.
I think the instant photos is one of my favorite developments over the last few decades. I love to take pictures – of my family, nature, whatever I happen to come across that’s interesting. And I love to share those photos so others can enjoy them, also.
Which is why my three favorite new words are “show my photos”. When I use my Alexa Voice Remote combined with my Amazon Fire TV Stick, “show my photos” brings up all the photos in my Prime Photos account and lets me easily show them to friends and family. It definitely makes for a better presentation than trying to enlarge photos on my phone or have everyone huddled around my laptop.
Prime members get unlimited storage, plus 5 GB of digital storage for other files and videos. So even if you’re like me and take lots of pictures each week, you’ll never run out of storage space. If you’re not a Prime member you still receive 5 GB free digital storage for photos, videos, and files.
By the way, if you don’t have an Amazon Fire TV Stick, I highly recommend it. Other than being able to easily show my photos, you can stream your favorite TV shows and movies, watch videos and movies from your Amazon video library, even download apps to connect you to more great content.
Before you head over and start uploading pictures to your Prime Photos account and order your Amazon Fire TV Stick, enter to win a 1st prize of a $500 Amazon gift card, or one of five $100 Amazon gift card 2nd prizes. Full terms and conditions can be found here.
What will you share with the “show my photos” command?
