I received compensation as part of my relationship with Vidoozi through the Quality Blue Community. All opinions expressed are my own.

Keeping connected to family and friends around the country can take a little effort. Fortunately it’s a lot easier now than it was when I went off to college. There were cellphones and email back then, but no smartphones or video chats or anything like that.

Create custom videos - share a story, send a greeting - with the Vidoozi app for iPhone

Now there are even tons of apps that let you stay in touch in a variety of ways. But my new favorite is the Vidoozi app for the iPhone. In under five minutes you can easily create a custom video message for your friends and family – and it’s free! Continue reading »

The technology that has gone into smartphones over the last few years really can make your head spin a little.  They do everything!  In one device you can talk, text, watch movies, stream music, play games, surf the web, create videos, take pictures – even use it as a remote control.

$50 will get you unlimited talk, text, and web PLUS free music streaming without using data. Get this T-Mobile plan - plus the Nokia Lumia 530 - now at Walmart #TMobileWM

Much of that takes data, though, and as anyone who has paid a cellphone bill knows – data can get expensive.  That’s why in this post sponsored by Lunchbox (all opinions are my own) you’ll be excited to learn that there is an awesome T-Mobile plan available from Walmart.  It has unlimited talk, text and web plus free music streaming that doesn’t use your data all that for just $50 a month. This is a Fashionista Event and a promotional item was provided to me by Sweetworks in order to make my Candy Crunch Milkshake. Hosts for this event are Still Blonde after all these Years and ModlyChic.

Am I the only one that loves milkshakes more in winter than any other time of year?  It sounds a little counter-intuitive, I know, but it’s true.  But when the temperatures drop I start craving them.

Candy Crunch Milkshake Recipe - a cold, creamy treat with hints of chocolate-coated candies in each sip.

Most of the time my go-to choice is a good ol’ fashioned chocolate shake.  Sometimes I get a little crazy and go the cookies and cream route.  But when the generous folks at Sweetworks sent me a big box of chocolate and candy the other day, I started to get an idea. Continue reading »

The year I was born I became part of a very special family tradition.  That year my Grandmother gave me my first Hallmark Keepsake Ornament.  Each year after that I received a new one; some years she selected one for me, some years I was able to share a little input on my favorites.

Our family Christmas tree decorated with Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments

Fast forward 36 years and those ornaments – including that Baby’s First Christmas one – grace my tree.  And in addition to capturing special moments and interests from each year, that was the goal.  That by the time I (and later my brothers and cousins) grew up and moved out on our own we wouldn’t have a bare Christmas tree. This pregame pride post is sponsored by Global Influence. All words and opinions are my own.

It’s no secret that we’re big NCAA football fans.  You’ll find a number of posts here about our love for the game and some great tailgating recipes.

Get your pregame pride on with Dove Men+Care, AXE, and Degree at Walmart #PregamePride

I think most sports fans have certain pregame rituals that they follow.  Specific clothes they wear, a meal they eat, a place they go to watch the game.  Even my husband’s Aunt and her husband get into the act, attending all local college football games and even traveling to many of the season’s away games.
