It’s always around this time of year that I start to get the itch to go somewhere. Whether it’s up north to connect with family for the holidays, out west to take in some beautiful scenery, or back south to soak up some rays and reminisce, I just get the travel bug.
That photo was taken exactly one year ago yesterday. Now, I’m a huge fan of a white Christmas but a white Thanksgiving is not something I need. With as hard as it’s currently raining and as cold as it’s been getting at night, all I can think is with just a small drop in temperature we’d be getting a massive snow storm today, too.
Once place I’d really like to go this winter is back to St. Augustine. One of my favorite events from the four years I lived there was the annual Nights of Lights celebration. It actually kicks off this weekend, and I would really love to share it’s beauty with my family. Plus maybe Bubbles could get in a little kiddie golf that doesn’t require sweatpants and a pullover.

We would probably stay at the Hyatt Place Las Vegas. My son really wants to meet his grandma and uncles on his dad’s side of the family and they live in Vegas.
I’ve been wanting to go to Hawaii and it looks like the best deal would be at Hyatt Place Waikiki Beach. So I’d probably go with that.
I’d do the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa and use the stay two nights get one free. I would choose this because I have family that lives in Colorado so I could also visit them.

I would love to take my kids and just go relax for a few days. And I have always wanted to visit Opryland!
I would love to visit Hyatt Escala Lodge at Park City. I’ve visited before during ski season and the runs are fantastic. There is a trolley that runs through a historic village and great restaurants in the area. It’s also home of one of the Winter Olympics — go USA!!

If I went on a vacation I would stay at Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa. My kids have been begging to go to Colorado to ski and I am not a big fan of skiing..so this hotel offers a SPA for me!!! However, since my home town is a cold place…I would really stay at the Park Hyatt on Michigan ave. I have ALWAYS wanted to stay there and I know that’s where the celebrities stay when they visit Chicago. Chicago has SOOO much to offer, especially in the winter downtown. Shopping on Michigan ave, Macy’s on State, Ice Skating, Navy Pier, and my favorite Mag Mile Parade.
