The past few days have been a little hectic.  Between visitors, work, the rainy weather, groundskeeping, cooking, cleaning, and scheduling a family night out to the movies, my head has been spinning just a tiny bit.  I don’t know that we are any “busier” now than when Bubbles was a baby, but it’s a different kind of busy that takes a little more planning.

Make your days less hectic with an easy DIY Menu Board for family meal planning

The older Bubbles gets, the more hectic I know it will get, too.  We’re already looking into some tumbling classes or a soccer league for her and those practices have to be accounted for in our daily ebb and flow.  I can tell that to keep up, I’m going to need two things: a lot more energy and a better scheduling system. Mother’s Day is right around the corner, and for someone I know, it’s a very special one.  I’m so excited to share that my sister-in-law and my brother are pregnant with their first child!  So this Mother’s Day will be her very first one.

Mommy to Be Gift Basket Ideas for Mother's Day #BestMomsDayEver

Next month I’ll have a whole lot of baby fun, but to kick off this special time in their lives I wanted to put together a Mother to Be gift basket for Mother’s Day for her.  I’ve filled it with some things I think she’ll need throughout her pregnancy, as well as a few cute gifts I found that I thought she’d appreciate. Lately I have been in the mood for my Mom’s Taco Salad.  It’s a great recipe (I’ll share it with you all one of these days), a little different than a traditional taco salad.  It’s not hard to make, but it does take a little advanced planning.

This Quick & Easy Taco Salad recipe has all the yummy flavors of a taco on one plate. No big shell needed, just add a few crushed tortilla chips to give you that nice crunch.Thank you to Lunchbox for sponsoring this post. Words & opinions are my own.

I was trying to decide what to make for lunch recently and after going through all the cabinets, fridge and freezer, I realized that I had everything on hand to make tacos.  Which meant that I had everything I needed to make the Quick & Easy Taco Salad recipe from the Kraft Recipe Hub.  Hubby likes taco salad, also, so I decided to whip this recipe up for lunch. Smoobee No Cry Brush

Detangling brush by Smoobee

Before Bubbles turned one she loved bath time.  Toys, splashing – what’s not to love?  But as she got older and her hair grew longer she started to like bath time less and less.  She did not enjoy the process of washing her hair, but she really did not like what came after – brushing.  Bath time quickly turned into me trying to wrestle her into the tub long enough to wash her and her hair, while trying to keep her from clawing her way out.  Fun, right?

At ABC Kids earlier this year, however, I learned about a new product called the Smoobee.  It claimed to be a “magic, No Cry Brush”.  I’m a bit of a skeptic – especially when items call themselves magic – and thought the brush was probably for polite, well-mannered children that loved to sit like Rapunzel and have her hair brushed.  During every hair wash adventure, though, it kept popping into my head.  I wondered if the claims were true and decided the only way to know for sure was to try it.
