How do you teach toddlers to be thankful?  With Thanksgiving looming just days away, it’s a question that has been on my mind.  I want Bubbles to be able to put meaning to the holidays and not just look at them as a time that everyone gets together to eat.

Sam's Club Healthy Living Made Simple App

I recently was flipping through the Healthy Living Made Simple app on my iPhone (it’s also available for the iPad) and I came across an article on teaching toddlers thankfulness.  The app is a companion for the online magazine from Sam’s Club.  It had some good information – plus a nice reassurance that it’s completely normal for your toddlers to not always remember to say thank you before opening a gift or to grumbling about what they have versus what they want. This DIY coffee creamer bottle snowman post is sponsored by TapInfluence. All words and opinions are my own.

The other day I was pouring a little of the seasonal International Delight Sugar Cookie coffee creamer into my afternoon coffee, and I heard Bubbles singing in the other room.  As the words “Do you want to build a snowman?” drifted my way, I looked down at the coffee creamer bottle in my hand and realized – yes, yes I did.  I wanted to build a snowman.

DIY Marshmallow Dispenser: Coffee Creamer Bottle Snowman

The shape of a plastic coffee creamer bottle lends itself perfectly to being transformed into a snowman.  And because after you peel the label off they’re already kind of a milky-white color, there’s not a lot of work that needs to be done.  This is literally one of the easiest DIY projects you’ll ever try, but the results are down-right adorable. You’ve heard me mention Disney Big Hero 6 a few times around here.  As huge Disney fans, we’re really excited to see how the Marvel comics of the same name come to life on the big screen.  So excited, that we’re headed to the theaters tonight to check it out!

DIY Big Hero 6 Baymax Bookmark

Bubbles has watched the commercials and the trailers, and she’s already a fan of Baymax.  There’s really only so much you can pick up from a short clip, though, and I wanted her to have a better idea of the story.  So I stopped by Walmart to see if they had any of the Big Hero 6 books in stock yet. This DIY Halloween Candy Dish post is sponsored by the Sverve #smokehousebbq campaign. All thoughts and words are my own.

Over the weekend I dug out my Halloween decorations and started to transform our house.  I actually couldn’t believe we’re already only three weeks away from Halloween!  I feel a little behind the ball on getting everything all set up.

DIY Halloween Candy Dish - Made from a terracotta pot! Easy craft for under $5 #SmokehouseBBQ

As I started to lay things out – the table runner, silly spider, ghost in a jar, pumpkins, you name it – I realized I was a little short on candy dishes.  Then I remembered the candy dish that I had made when I was younger as a gift for my Gram.  It was an easy project using terracotta pots, which I knew I had in my craft closet. I’m getting a little bit giddy.  Christmas, which is my absolute favorite time of year, is getting closer by the day.  In fact, there are only a little over 73 days until the big day arrives.

DIY Pamper Your MistleToes Gift and Free Printable Tag

I like to work on my shopping list throughout the year, especially if I’m doing any handmade gifts, like the DIY whisk gift I shared last year.  This year I have a number of people to whom I would like to gift the gift of pampering.  So I thought I would put together these cute DIY MistleToes gifts.
