Thank you to One2One Network for providing a copy of Michael Buble To Be Loved in order to review.

Michael Bublé has been one of my favorite artists since the first time I heard his voice.  A soulful crooner, when he sings I’m instantly transported to the days of the Rat Pack.  His style has sometimes been related to the Big Band era of the 20s and I’d definitely agree that many of his songs do have that jazzy, swing feel.

Those eyes!!

Up until now, my favorite album was his Christmas album.  His voice + Christmas songs + sitting in front of a fire place = the best way to spend Christmas Eve.  But now he has released “To Be Loved”, his sixth album, and I feel like I might have a new favorite.  This collection is slightly different than his others because in addition to some great covers, “To Be Loved” includes four songs that Michael wrote himself. If you’ve visited Maine in the last few summers you may have heard of the Maine Fairy House Festival held at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay Harbor.  I personally was never able to attend but it was quite the tradition; fairy houses have always held a special place in the hearts of kids, especially ones that grew up near forests.  I don’t recall making one as a child, but as both Bubbles and I are big Tink fans, I thought it would be something fun to introduce.

Building a DIY fairy house is not only a fun way to create a little magic in your child’s life – it’s also a free summer activity!  In the outdoors with fresh air!  So the next time you have a sunny day and the kids are saying they’re already bored, send them outside to make one.

Thank you to JumpSport for providing us with an iBounce trampoline for kids.

Bubbles has loved to jump and bounce since she the day she discovered she could do it.  She’s actually a fairly (in my humble opinion, of course) athletic 2-year-old and she can get some decent air now and then.  I want to do what I can to encourage being active now while she’s young so that it’s a part of her lifestyle as she gets older.

JumpSport iBounce Trampoline for Kids

I wasn’t sure if she was old enough for a trampoline of any kind but then I found the iBounce trampoline from JumpSport.  It’s rated for ages 2-5 (up to 80 pounds) which made me think that it could be a good starter for Bubbles.  It also has attached handle bars which would give her a little extra stability as she really grows into her jumping skills. I participated in a campaign to raise awareness of the Save the Children partnership with Johnson’s Baby CARES program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for JOHNSON’s Baby.  I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

This past weekend was Mother’s Day and I know many of us spent the day sharing words of love and thanks with our mothers, grandmothers, and those who have acted as a mother in our lives.  My Mom and Gram are back in Maine, so my words were shared over the phone and in the package of cards we mailed last week.  I would loved for us to have been able to visit so they could also have received snuggly hugs from Bubbles.

Send Mom a Note of Encouragement and Raise Funds for Save the Children

Living so far away from my Mom isn’t always easy; as a first-time mom, myself, I often wonder/worry/question a lot of things.  Fortunately all I have to do is pick up the phone and she passes on her wisdom an encouragement.  I’ve mentioned Bubbles’ less than stellar sleep habits and her picky eating.  My Mom assures me it’s all fine and even clips articles from the paper on those topics just to help me feel better.  An “Oh, she’ll grow out of it” means more coming from her than any research I could read online.
