We were recently invited to come check out the Bonefish Grill Louisville location and see what they’d been, pardon the pun, cooking up during their remodel. My husband and I have enjoyed our previous dining occasions at Bonefish Grill, so we were more than happy to stop in and see what was new.
Thank you to the Bonefish Grill Louisville for hosting us!
Bonefish Grill is pretty famous for their Bang Bang Shrimp, which we do of course love. This time, though, we decided to steer away from our traditional favorites and try some new things.
It didn’t take Bubbles too long looking at the kids menu to decide what she wanted: the Mac ‘n Cheese (of course), which like all kid meals comes with a choice of fresh veggies or fries, plus a drink. While she waited for it to arrive, she alternated between eating their delicious complimentary bread and coloring in the little booklet they gave her when we sat down.
At my suggestion, hubs ended up ordering a bowl of their Corn Chowder + Lump Crab as an appetizer. He loves my corn chowder recipe and he loves crab, so I figured he’d enjoy theirs. Not only did he like it, he loved it, and has already decided we will be returning regularly for weekend lunch just to order the chowder.
For our entrees, since he had been craving a great burger, my husband ordered the Half-Pound American Kobe Beef Burger. He was really pleased with how it was cooked and, most importantly, how it tasted. He also really liked the fries it was served with.
I ordered the Sea Scallops + Shrimp with the White Truffle Mac + Cheese (pictured at top). I love ‘grown up’ mac & cheese offerings, and the White Truffle Mac + Cheese didn’t disappoint. Both my scallops and shrimp were both cooked perfectly and had great flavor, too.
We were all too full for dessert by the end, but that wasn’t going to deter us from ordering one! I was eyeing the Chocolate Crème Brûlée but I wasn’t sure Bubbles would enjoy it, too. So we ordered the Doughnuts which were great. So great, they were eaten before I could even get a picture of them.
Our server was extremely nice and helpful, making jokes with Bubbles and letting treating her like a little grownup. They wear chef coats to the table which gives them a very crisp, professional look that suits the restaurant well. Bubbles liked it so much that she has repeatedly asked to go “back to Bonefish” which we definitely will be again soon!
That ALL looks so good! I think hubby and I need to schedule a date night dinner there very soon!
