Bubbles loves music. Especially when she gets to sing, or when she gets to “play” the guitar – which she called her “rockstar” for about a year. So when we heard that Hard Rock International was launching the fun new Roxtars, I knew we had to find out more.
The Hard Rock Roxtars are designed to inspire kids of all ages to rock an inimitable brand of cool, allowing their originality to shine. The band is made up of the following members:
Razzi™ – a motherly type and famous for both squishy hugs and keyboard skills
Sir Kingston™ – a British-invasion inspired rock-and-roller on lead guitar
Styler™ – an accompanying guitar player with a free spirit
Buddy Jr™ – a “wild man” who loves a good drum solo
Skiddley™ – lead singer and “Mr. Cool” of the group
Kids who dine at Hard Rock Cafes worldwide are greeted with their own Hard Rock Roxtars activity book, themed menus, guitar-shaped plates and photo opportunities. Plus as part of The National Restaurant Association’s Kids LiveWell program in collaboration with Healthy Dining Hard Rock Cafes worldwide will offer healthier food options, such as Skiddley’s “Not-so-diddley” chicken breast and “Twisted ‘n tasty” cavatappi pasta. Bubbles loves “going to the restaurant” and with these additions Hard Rock has made themselves an option that she’s extra-excited to visit.
Children who stay at Hard Rock Hotel locations with their families will receive a special Hard Rock Roxtars Activity Book at check-in and unlimited entertainment at Hard Rock Roxity Kids Club. The Roxity Kids Club is a family-friendly, music-inspired haven, where kids can rock to their own rhythm, catch a live Hard Rock Roxtars performance or take part in experiential, engaging and music-infused learning activities.
But it’s no fun to make an announcement without turning it into a party, right? So Hard Rock Cafes around the country are hosting a “Does Your Child Look Like a Rock Star?” where you’ll get to interact with the new Hard Rock Roxtars characters, kids menu, and merchandise. During the night of the contest, kids will eat free with a paying adult, and your kids can wear their best “rock star” costume to the cafe for a chance to win a Hard Rock Cafe gift card or a 2015 birthday party for eight of the rock star’s closest band members and entourage.
For those in the Louisville area, Hard Rock Cafe Louisville will be holding their “Does Your Child Look Like a Rock Star?” contest on Monday, October 27th. Festivities – which include a DJ and Family Karoke with Music in Motion – kick off at 5:30 p.m. Judging (I have it on good authority that there will be a local celeb/industry judge panel!) will start around 7 p.m. with the winners being announced around 7:30 p.m.
