Disney shorts have always been one of my favorite things about Disney movies.  The shorts have been a way for artists to play around and try out new concepts before turning them into bigger projects.  They also can give us brief peeks inside the lives of characters we already love.

I’m not alone in my love for them, apparently, because you can buy Pixar Short Films Collection 1 and Pixar Short Films Collection 2 on DVD.

New Disney shorts: Monsters University short "Party Central" available on Disney Movies Anywhere

And now there are two new Disney shorts: one that’s available now, and one that’s coming soon!  First, there is the Monsters University short Party Central, available on Disney Movies Anywhere.  I have the Disney Movies Anywhere app on my phone and I love it.  Not only can Bubbles get her Planes or Frozen fix no matter where we are, but there is a bunch of exclusive content available there.  For a Disney fan like me, it’s like having my own personal playground.

Party Central features Mike (Billy Crystal) and Sulley’s (John Goodman) return to Monsters University for a fun-filled weekend with their Oozma Kappa fraternity brothers.  The gang is throwing their first party, but no one’s showing up!  Luckily for them, Mike and Sulley have come with a plan to make sure “Party Central” is the most epic party the school has ever seen.

The newest of the Disney shorts is "FEAST", showing in theaters before Big Hero 6

Coming soon is the Disney short FEAST.  It will run ahead of Big Hero 6, which hits theaters on November 7th.  We already have a family date night planned to catch this and we’re excited for this extra bonus.  I mean, look at that adorable dog.

This new short is from first-time director Patrick Osborne (head of animation for Paperman) and Walt Disney Animation Studios.  It is the story of one man’s love life as seen through the eyes of his best friend and dog, Winston, and revealed bite by bite through the meals they share.

Which of the Disney shorts are you most excited about?
