I received an item from Museum Tour in order to facilitate my review. No additional compensation was received; all thoughts and words are my own.

I’ve always loved getting catalogs in the mail, especially toy ones.  Christmas was an especially good time of year for it, as there was always the Wish Book and other thick catalogs that would arrive.  But no matter what time of year it was, I was always on the lookout when my Mom would bring the mail home.

One catalog that I wasn’t familiar with – but that you very well may be – is the one sent out by Museum Tour.  Their fall catalog reached 2 million homes.  It’s packed full of toys and fun learning activities for children to participate in beyond museum or science center walls.

Belly Bump Jr. from Museum Tour

If you don’t receive their catalog, you can still visit the Museum Tour website.  They’ve put together a list of the Top 10 List of Museum Tour Toys & Gifts for 2013 and it has a lot of cool things I hadn’t seen before.  The list includes:

  • Kids Utensil’s Sets (Ages 2+): Construction or Fairy themes
  • Belly Bump Jr. (Ages 4+) – pictured above
  • Wondermaze (Ages 3+)
  • Megaladon Tooth Specimen (Ages 8+)
  • Art Tablet (Ages 3+)
  • Living Sands (Ages 3+) – pictured below
  • Chaos Tower (Ages 8+)
  • Candy Chemistry (Ages 10+)
  • Enchantmints Jewelry Boxes (Ages 4+): Horse, Unicorn, or Ballerina theme
  • Magformers Carnival Set (Ages 6+)

Living Sands from Museum Tour

When I saw the Wondermaze, I thought it was the coolest toy I had come across in awhile.  It’s like something you would find on the wall of a children’s or science museum.  And now you could bring it home with you!

Wondermaze from Museum Tour

The Wondermaze is a set of tunnels, bends, drops, levels, twirls – pretty much everything you can imagine.  They are very sturdy plastic and each piece is backed with magnetic plates, meaning this doesn’t have to be installed somewhere.  The kiddos can swap pieces around, move them from place to place, and still have an extremely fun toy to play with.

I had assumed that Bubbles would love the toy, but I may have underestimated just a bit how much she would love this.  We currently have it set up on the refrigerator door as that’s the largest magnetic surface we have.  I’ve lost count of the times she’s dropped the included rubber balls down through the mazes, sometimes racing herself by dropping two balls at once, and sometimes racing against Mama or Daddy.

Museum Tour and I would like to help you choose a favorite item of your own!  One reader will win a $30 Museum Tour gift certificate.  Giveaway closed – congrats Seyma S!

What other Museum Tour item do you love?
