Fans are already buzzing about the Starz Outlander series.  Have you had the chance to check it out yet?

If not, you really need to. You can even watch a sneak peak on three screen types thanks to Time Warner Cable.  So there’s no excuse not to enjoy at least a little Outlander love.

As I shared a couple of weeks ago, I had the chance to preview the first two Starz Outlander episodes.  At that time I promised no spoilers, but now that the series is in full swing, I can share a bit more of my thoughts and opinions on what I’ve seen so far.

Starz Outlander Series Craigh na Dun

First I have to say, one of the unexpected “characters” of the show is definitely the Scottish countryside.  It really helps immerse you in the time period.  When the sun comes peeking through the trees or you see the fog and mist rolling across the hills, you really feel like you’ve been transported right along with Claire. I received a prize pack in order to create back to school lunchbox ideas. All thoughts and words are my own.

Kids around the country are heading back to school, triggering the question of “what can I pack for lunch?”  Of course there’s the old stand-by, the sandwich.  It’s a classic for a reason: portable, easy to eat, easy to customize.

Morning Coffee Moment with Chocolate Caramel Muffins #IDelight

August is National Coffee Month and I thought it only appropriate to celebrate with some tasty muffins that you can indulge in while you drink your coffee.  They even have a little coffee creamer in them for some extra flavor, so it’s kind of like celebrating twice. Continue reading »

For whatever reason, our master bedroom has always been the most neglected room in our house.  The walls are still bare aside from paint, and the only furniture has been our bed and a small table with a white noise machine and a humidifier.

Exciting, I know.

We’ve said for years “we really should get a dresser” or “some drawers would be nice”.  We even checked out a few furniture stores.  So much of what we looked at just didn’t seem to be of good value, didn’t fit our style, or wasn’t right for the space.

Sauder Website - Made in the USA Furniture

When I was offered the opportunity to peruse the Sauder website and select a piece of furniture, I was cautiously optimistic.  I had heard great things about the company and their quality in the past, so I was just hoping to find something that fit our style and the space. Continue reading »
