This post is brought to you by Superior Source. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Anyone else ready for spring?  I know I am.  Actually, I think I was ready for spring roughly three days after Christmas.

Especially after this past week and weekend.  We went from below-zero temps to in the 50s and 60s, and it was gorgeous.  We celebrated Bubbles 3rd birthday, and one of her presents was a swing set for the backyard.  We had fun swinging and sliding for a couple of days, and can’t wait for the weather to officially change so we can spend lots of time playing.

Right about now is when I also start to get spring fever in terms of cleaning and organizing the house, too.  There’s just something that feels good about giving your home a refresh when the seasons change.  But have you also thought about giving your body a refresh, too?

Cold weather makes most of us feel like hibernating.  And when the weather turns, it can take awhile for our systems to adjust.  Once you get going, though, it’s easier to keep up the pace, so give yourself a little boost with a great combination of products from Superior Source Vitamins. We received roughly four inches of snow over the weekend, which is fairly big news for this part of Kentucky.  It was the good kind of snow, too.  The snow was sticky enough to make into a snowman and was accompanied by weather warm enough you wanted to stay out and play.  Bubbles was thrilled with the opportunity to get out and play.

She’s been cooped up for awhile now.  Actually, our house in general has been mostly on lockdown while everyone passed a stomach bug and colds back and forth.  I’ve only been hit with the cold part, which is fortunate because someone has to be able to keep everyone hydrated, clothes washed, and chicken noodle soup served up. I am a Superior Source Brand Ambassador. I received compensation and product for sharing this information with you; however, as always, all words and opinions are 100% my own.

For many of us, our 2014 resolutions and goals included one for our health.  Things like walk more, lose weight, train for a marathon, quit smoking, cut back on sugar, be more healthy in general.  As you’re putting your plan together for the remainder of the year, you might want to consider adding vitamins to that plan.

Now, I’m totally not a doctor (though I have watched every episode of House) but after my doctor prescribed B-12 years ago I’ve been a big supporter.  For me, anyway, it’s amazing how different you can feel when your body has the appropriate amount of vitamins and minerals.  Growing up my Mom was the same way with Vitamin C; when she forgot to take it for a few days, she just didn’t feel as well.

Everyone’s systems are different, but Vitamin C, Vitamin D, and Vitamin B-12 are ones I know a lot of people take.  I meet more and more people every day that are even being prescribed Vitamin D, B-12, and others by their doctors.  And this time of year everyone I run into on the street is talking about Vitamin C to stay ahead of colds and other winter-weather yuckiness.

I received Bed of Nails products in order to facilitate my review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

With the start of the year on the horizon, many people are turning their thoughts to making resolutions.  One goal I often hear, especially from women, is to try and figure out how to find a few moments of “me” time.  Five or 10 minutes here and there to decompress, destress, and relax.

Something to consider to enhance your “me” time in 2014 are products from Bed of Nails.  These aren’t what you might think of when you think of relaxing.  The Bed of Nails mat and pillow are actually covered in thousands of tiny little plastic “nails” designed to stimulate the acupressure points in your body. This oral health facts post is sponsored by Colgate Total, the American Diabetes Association, and the Mom It Forward Blogger Network.  All thoughts and words are my own.

I’ve mentioned before that Ashley is a Type 1 diabetic.  When someone you love lives with a disease like diabetes, you tend to worry.  And even after all these years of managing it, it’s not always easy for her to keep her sugars regulated.

There are so many factors that go into keeping blood sugars balanced.  What she eats, how much she sleeps, if she goes for a run – all of those can send numbers up or down.  And those are just the things she has some control over.  If she happens to get sick – something she really can’t plan for – then it can get a little scary.  In the last few years, there have been at least 2-3 trips to the emergency room each year that I can remember.
