In my opinion the music of Disney, whether it be from the movies or their shows or the parks, is one of the greatest parts of Disney’s magic. So when I was offered an advance copy of the new We Love Disney album I jumped at the chance to give it a listen.
It’s such a fun album! It’s got some of your favorite classic Disney songs – like “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” and “It’s A Small World” – as well as some newer hits, and even songs you might not be that familiar with. I’ve always found technology exciting and I love finding new ways to incorporate it into our life. So I was really excited when we had the opportunity to add the Philips hue personal wireless lighting system into our home. And let me just tell you, once you have wireless lighting in your home, you’re never going to want to be without it again.
When I first read about the Philips hue system I thought it would be great as a home security feature. Normally someone is at home, but if we all happen to be gone at once, we could set timers on the lights and everything would be well-lit whether we were actually there or not. While Christmas is my favorite holiday, Halloween ranks a close second. My Gram loved to cook and bake and spread that love to friends and family by entertaining and making sure everyone was always well-fed. As farmers, Halloween often came at the close of a very long and hard harvest, and a Halloween party was the perfect way to celebrate.
It started off kind of small but over the years there grew to be up to a hundred guests that came and went through their house. While I don’t throw a party of that size every year, I do like to make up a variety of Halloween treats to serve to friends and family that stop by.
