Designer Band-Aids And Neosporin Lip Health

Views From the 'Ville 2012 Holiday Gift Guide: BandAids and Neosporin

When I was little I always loved to receive a box of character Band-Aids in my stocking at Christmas. If you’re going to wear one it should be fun, right? Band-Aid is always adding to the mix when it comes to character prints and this year is no different. Both The Muppets and Cynthia Rowley have joined the line up.

Stocking Stuffer Ideas: Designer Bandaids and Neosporin Lip Health

Additionally Neosporin has a few products out that I never knew existed! I always thought Neosporin was mostly just the antibacterial spray but they have a Lip Health line. I am absolutely in love with the Daily Hydration Therapy. My lips were really dry but after just a couple days of use I could notice a big difference. It’s a nice bonus that it contains sunscreen, too!

If you need a few more stocking stuffers for anyone on your list you’re sure to find items in this collection that your recipient will really appreciate. Know someone on their feet all day or that does a lot of walking? The Friction Block would be a welcome treat. Anyone that spends time outside – maybe someone who hits the slops all day? – would really like the Lip Health line, too.

I received products in order to facilitate my review. No additional compensation was received and all opinions, as always, are 100% that of myself and my family.

Do Your Kids Love Scooby-Doo?

Are you trying to finish some last-minute shopping for your kiddo’s wish list? Maybe even just getting started? (You’re not alone; one of our friends was just heading out this morning!) If your kids love Scooby-Doo help is a click away!

Call the kids over and have them visit the new Warner Bros. Scooby Mystery Workshop site. Here they will be able to create their own customized holiday wish list. The site has Scooby-Doo toys, games, bedding, costumes and more. After your child checks off their wish list you can either print it or have them email it to you. And once they’re done there are other activities to help them have fun like playing games and winning prizes.

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Scooby-Doo. I received a product sample to thank me for participating. All opinions, as always, are 100% that of myself and my family.

Reverse Charades Board Game

If you’re looking for some family fun this holiday season you’ve found it! A new game called Reverse Charades by RETROPlay will have the entire family laughing and on the edge of their seats. There aren’t many games that everyone from your tweens to their grandparents can play at the same time and have so much fun. And if your kids are elementary school-aged they don’t have to miss out; Reverse Charades Junior is perfect for them.

2012 Holiday Gift Guide - RETROPlay's Reverse Charades

Reverse Charades is a new take on an old classic. Instead of one person acting out the charades clues for their team to guess – the entire team acts out the clues for one person to guess. This keeps the game play moving quickly and also engages more people at one time. No more waiting for a bunch of people to go each time before you get another turn acting. Both Reverse Charades and Reverse Charades Junior come with 720 words so your group can play for hours without missing a beat. Continue reading »

Edwards Crème Pies

I love to bake and cook for the holidays but sometimes you’re invited to a last minute party or you’re running behind schedule and you just don’t have time to whip up your favorite recipes. Edwards Crème pies make a great option for those occassions! This time of year I’ve been known to keep one in the freezer in case guests stop by unexpectedly. And when you buy a pie this month, Edwards will donate $1 to Toys For Tots – it’s a win-win!

This year Edwards is also making it easy to stay in touch with friends and family near and far. You can visit their holiday site and send a holiday e-card. The card includes a coupon for both you and the receipient. The site is quick and easy to use and you can send multiple cards at once. Continue reading »

Peanut butter and chocolate are such a perfect pairing. Growing up my mom would always make homemade peanut butter cups during Christmas and I looked forward to them every year. I haven’t made my own peanut butter cups in years, but after moving to Kentucky I added Peanut Butter Buckeyes to the list of holiday sweets I make. I’d had them before but they weren’t as common in Maine where I grew up. In fact, it wasn’t until moving to Kentucky that I knew they were named after a nut!

Christmas Recipes - Peanut Butter Buckeyes

As with years past, this week I made a big batch of buckeyes. They’re not that time consuming and they are always one of the most-commented on goody that I include in the holiday sweet samplers that I make for our friends and extended family each year. Continue reading »
