I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kohl’s. I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
If you follow me on Twitter, Instagram or Foursquare you may have saw posts or check-ins that reference Kohl’s. That’s because I have been in love with Kohl’s basically since the first time I set foot inside one of their stores. They have great brands (like Carters, Vera Wang, Food Network, and more), a wide selection of items, and amazing deals and sales.
A couple of years ago one of my biggest shopping dreams became a reality: Kohl’s built a brand new store just about 5 minutes away. It’s a LEED-certified store which is something of which they are very proud. Kohl’s is very devoted to being a good community partner and this is just one way in which they do it. Another way is through their Kohl’s Cares program, which we love. They regularly rotate in a new themed line of merchandise for $5 per item. We’ve bought a lot of kids books, stuffed animals, and cookbooks that were part of the program.
Another reason I love shopping there so often is, of course, because of their great sales. Many weeks during the year they send out a shopping pass for 15-20% off your entire purchase. Combine that discount with their weekly sale prices and you can regularly save hundreds of dollars while shopping there. You can also often earn “Kohl’s Cash”, a certificate for money off your next purchase. And if you have a Kohl’s charge card you get even more discounts, and they can be stacked with the Kohl’s Cash.
As you can see they are committed to helping you stretch your shopping dollar. And that’s why we’ll be doing a lot of our back-to-school shopping there. Austin will, I’m sure, want a few new pieces before he heads back to school in a few weeks. He’s very much into athletic brands and clothes right now, brands like Nike, Adidas, Under Armour and others. Fortunately Kohl’s has an entire section dedicated to sports clothing so we should be able to find quite a few things he likes.
In a few days I’ll be back to share with you all our finds and let you know what you can find at Kohl’s for back-to-school. Their selection for the younger set is just as good as for teens and older; I have found tons of cute items for Bubbles that were up to 85% off. When you combine that with the 15-20% discount passes, especially, their prices just can’t be beat.
I love Kohls, too! They always have such good sales and coupons. I was so happy when they built the new one buy us…we go to the one in Fern Creek – is that your location, too? It’s so easy to run their and pick something up versus trekking all the way to the mall.
Yes, I prefer the Fern Creek one, too, Kari! Even though the one next to Oxmoor is bigger, the Fern Creek one seems nicer and less crowded
[…] couple of weeks ago I shared with you all that Kohl’s might be a good choice for back to school fashion for kids. They’re hard to beat when it comes to getting a great deal. They already have […]
