Toddler Birthday Party Ideas
Bubbles is turning two this month and I can’t believe it. It honestly seems like the other day that she fit in the nook of my arm; now when I pick her up and we’re eye-to-eye, her toes dangle against my knees. Every day she surprises us with a new phrase. activity, item, or look. This month in the Turning 2 Toddler Birthday Celebration I’ll be sharing a lot of great things that she loves that I think other toddlers will enjoy.
Before the month gets too far away from me I’m trying to decide on a birthday theme for her party. Pocoyo is favorite character but the merchandise for it is almost non-existent and I haven’t been able to find any party supplies. So we’re looking at other options. She takes after her Mama and is a little Disney girl which makes something Disney a top choice. She loves Minnie Mouse, the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show, Tinker Bell, and the princesses (she can name them all, with Rapunzel and Ariel being two of her favorites). Here are some of the cute party ideas for a Minnie Mouse party I’ve found so far.
Minnie Mouse 2nd Birthday Cake – Beautiful, but maybe outside my skill level. We’ll have to see!
Love these Minnie Mouse Oreo cookie pops. If I choose a Minnie theme, I’m definitely going to have to make some of these.
These should be pretty easy to make. Change the paper to pink with polka dots for the Minnie theme.
Okay, in love with this idea. Minnie-shaped sandwich toppings are so cute! And DIY sandwiches are great for guests.
Leave out the yellow and swap the red for pink and this can be a Minnie Mouse wreath! Going to need to stretch that project out over a few days…
She also loves Clifford the Big Red Dog. She’s had a small plush that’s been her “carseat buddy” for over a year now. She also has a new, slightly larger one, that she was recently given that occasionally sleeps with her. And of course we have to watch Clifford after World Word on PBS. There are far fewer party ideas out there for Clifford; many of them I had to search out and pin myself. But here is what I’ve found so far.
The Birthday Banners here are really cute, and “Big Red” soda could be used, too!

My son would love both of those themes! For his first birthday we did Thomas The Tank, for his second birthday we did Elmo, and for his third birthday (next week!) we are doing Curious George.

How adorable! I love all the amazing ideas on pinterest. I’m not so creative myself but once I get that inspiration…I especially love the idea of a Minnie or Mickey party as the silhouette is so simple and recognizable.
